Setup Instructions

Connecting to a Laptop/PC

The Dopesplay portable monitor can be connected to a laptop or PC using either a full-featured USB-C cable or an HDMI cable combined with a USB-C power cable.

  1. Using a Full-Featured USB-C Cable: Connect one end of the full-featured USB-C to USB-C cable to your laptop's USB-C port (which supports video output) and the other end to the monitor's Type-C input (data transfer only) port. The monitor will receive both power and video/touch data through this single connection.
  2. Using HDMI and USB-C for Power:
    1. Connect the Mini HDMI to HDMI cable from your laptop's HDMI port to the monitor's Mini HDMI input.
    2. Connect the USB-C to USB-A cable (or a USB-C to USB-C cable from a power adapter) to the monitor's Type-C charge port (for power supply only) and to a power source (e.g., laptop USB-A port, wall adapter).

Connecting to a Smartphone

To connect your smartphone, ensure it supports full-featured USB-C output for video and power. Use a full-featured USB-C to USB-C cable to connect your phone to the monitor's Type-C input (data transfer only) port.

Note: The touch function is not supported on Mac and iPhone devices.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power On/Off button located on the side of the monitor to turn the device on or off.

Display Modes

When connected to a laptop or PC, the monitor supports various display modes:

Activating Touch Screen Function (Extend Mode)

To enable touch functionality in Extend Mode when connected to a Windows PC:

  1. Ensure both the full-featured Type-C cable (for data and touch) and the Type-C power cable are connected to the monitor. The full-featured Type-C port is typically on the left, and the power-only Type-C port is on the right.
  2. On your laptop or PC, navigate to the Control Panel and select "Hardware and Sound."
  3. Under "Devices and Printers," click on "Tablet PC Settings."
  4. In the Tablet PC Settings window, click "Setup."
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your pen and touch display. Press "Enter" when instructed.
  6. When the screen appears on the Dopesplay monitor, tap the screen with your finger to confirm. The touch function will now be active in Extend Mode.

Note: The touch function is not supported on Mac and iPhone devices.

Using the Integrated Keyboard and Stand

The integrated keyboard functions like a standard laptop keyboard. The monitor's design allows for 360° rotation, enabling various configurations such as laptop mode, tablet mode, tent mode, or stand mode for optimal viewing and interaction.
