1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Zulay Kitchen Magia Fully Automatic Espresso Machine. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain this manual for future reference.

The Zulay Magia espresso machine offers 19 customizable coffee options, an integrated grinder, and an insulated milk container for a versatile coffee experience. Its intuitive 7-inch touch screen and auto-cleaning functions ensure ease of use and maintenance.

Familiarize yourself with the various parts of your espresso machine for optimal use.

3. Setup and First Use

Before using your machine for the first time, ensure all packaging materials are removed and clean all removable parts according to the maintenance instructions.

1. Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank, fill it with fresh water, and reinsert it securely.
2. Add Coffee Beans: Open the lid of the coffee bean container and pour whole coffee beans into it.
3. Power On: Plug the machine into a power outlet and press the power button on the touch screen. The machine will perform an initial rinse cycle.
4. Initial Rinse: Place a cup under the coffee spouts during the initial rinse.

4. Operating Instructions

Your Zulay Magia machine offers a wide range of customizable coffee options accessible via the 7-inch touch screen.

4.1 Selecting and Customizing Drinks

The touch screen displays 19 different coffee recipes, including Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano, Macchiato, Flat White, and more. Simply tap on your desired drink icon to begin brewing.

• Customization: Each recipe is fully adjustable for coffee strength, volume, temperature, milk, and froth. Use the on-screen sliders to fine-tune your preferences.
• User Profiles: Save up to 10 user profiles to store individual drink preferences.
• Dual Coffee Drip: Prepare two cups simultaneously for added convenience.

4.2 Adjusting Grind Size

The integrated stainless steel conical burr grinder allows you to tailor the grind fineness. The adjustment knob is located inside the coffee bean container.

Figure 3: Grinder Adjustment Knob. This knob allows you to select grind fineness from ultra-fine to coarse. Adjusting it clockwise results in a finer grind and stronger coffee, while counter-clockwise results in a coarser grind and milder coffee.

Important: Only adjust the grind size while the grinder is running to prevent damage to the machine.

4.3 Using Pre-Ground Coffee

The machine supports both whole coffee beans and pre-ground coffee. To use pre-ground coffee:

1. Select the pre-ground coffee option on the touch screen (indicated by a spoon icon).
2. Open the pre-ground coffee funnel and add the desired amount using the included measuring scoop.
3. Select your desired drink.

4.4 Preparing Milk-Based Drinks

The insulated milk container and milk system allow for easy preparation of lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk-based beverages.

1. Fill the insulated milk container with your preferred milk (dairy or plant-based).
2. Connect the milk container to the machine's milk system.
3. Select a milk-based drink from the touch screen. The machine will automatically froth and dispense the milk, then add the coffee.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your espresso machine.

• Auto-Cleaning Function: The machine features an auto-cleaning function for simplified upkeep.
• Removable Parts: The drip tray, water tank, and coffee waste bin are all removable and dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
• Empty Coffee Waste Bin: Empty the coffee waste bin approximately every 10-12 coffees.
• Clean Drip Tray: Regularly drain and clean the removable drip tray.
• Brewing Unit Cleaning: Approximately every two months, clean the inside of the machine and the brewing unit. This involves opening a side panel, removing the brewing unit, rinsing it with water, drying it, and reinserting it.
• Descaling: The machine will indicate when descaling is needed. Follow the on-screen prompts or refer to the general settings menu to initiate the descaling process.
