3. Setup and Initial Configuration
3.1 Setting the Digital Time and Date
- In normal time display mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the seconds start flashing. This indicates you are in setting mode.
- Press the RESET button to cycle through the setting items: Seconds → Hour → Minute → Month → Date → Day of the Week.
- Use the START/STOP button to adjust the selected flashing item.
- Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit setting mode.
3.2 Setting the Analog Time
The analog hands are set independently from the digital display.
- Pull out the crown (small knob on the right side of the watch case) to the first position.
- Turn the crown to adjust the analog hour and minute hands to the desired time.
- Push the crown back in to secure the analog time.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Using the Backlight
Press the LIGHT button (top left) to illuminate the digital display for a few seconds.
4.2 Stopwatch Function
- From normal time display, press MODE twice to enter stopwatch mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
- Press START/STOP to begin timing.
- Press START/STOP again to pause timing.
- Press RESET to clear the stopwatch to zero.
- To exit stopwatch mode, press MODE.

4.3 Alarm Function
- From normal time display, press MODE three times to enter alarm setting mode. The hour digits will flash.
- Press START/STOP to adjust the hour.
- Press RESET to switch to minute setting.
- Press START/STOP to adjust the minute.
- Press MODE to confirm and exit alarm setting.
- To turn the alarm ON/OFF, in alarm mode, press START/STOP. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.

5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Water Resistance
Your SMAEL SL-8058 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it is suitable for daily use, showering, and swimming in shallow water. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water. Avoid hot water, as it can damage the waterproof seals.

5.2 Cleaning
Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a rinse with clean water and thorough drying. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
5.3 Battery Replacement
The watch uses a standard watch battery (CR2032, as indicated on the case back). Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
