5. Operating the Router
5.1 Wi-Fi Connectivity
The Archer AXE95 is a Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6E router, offering three distinct Wi-Fi bands for optimal performance:
- 2.4 GHz Band: Ideal for older devices and extending Wi-Fi range, offering speeds up to 574 Mbps.
- 5 GHz Band: Provides faster speeds for most modern devices, suitable for streaming and gaming, with speeds up to 4804 Mbps.
- 6 GHz Band (Wi-Fi 6E): A brand-new, congestion-free band exclusive to Wi-Fi 6E devices, offering the highest speeds up to 2402 Mbps and ultra-low latency. This band prevents interference from legacy devices.
The router features Smart Connect, which intelligently assigns each device to the best Wi-Fi band for optimal performance, simplifying your network management.

- Secure Passwords: Regularly change your Wi-Fi and router administration passwords to strong, unique combinations to enhance security.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your router, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Internet Access:
- Check all cable connections between the router, modem, and your devices. Ensure they are securely plugged in.
- Reboot your modem and router. Unplug both devices, wait for 30 seconds, then plug in the modem first. Once the modem is fully online, plug in the router.
- Verify your internet service provider (ISP) connection is active.
- Slow Wi-Fi Speed:
- Ensure your devices are connected to the appropriate Wi-Fi band (5 GHz or 6 GHz for faster speeds).
- Reduce interference by moving the router away from other electronic devices (e.g., cordless phones, microwaves).
- Check for firmware updates.
- Limit the number of active devices or bandwidth-intensive applications.
- Cannot Access Router Management Page:
- Ensure your device is connected to the router's network.
- Verify you are using the correct access address (tplinkwifi.net or 192.168.0.1).
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- Forgot Wi-Fi Password or Router Login Password:
- You can reset the router to factory default settings by pressing and holding the Reset button on the back of the router for about 5-10 seconds until the LED lights flash. Note: This will erase all your custom settings, and you will need to reconfigure the router.
