4. Installation Instructions

The Sunco LED Shop Light offers two primary installation methods: suspension (hanging) mount and surface (flush) mount. Choose the method best suited for your application.

4.1. Suspension (Hanging) Mount

  1. Prepare Mounting Surface: Identify the desired location for your light fixture. Ensure the ceiling or beam can support the weight of the fixture.
  2. Install Hanging Hooks: Screw the provided hanging hooks into the ceiling or beam at appropriate intervals to support the fixture evenly.
  3. Attach Chains: Connect the hanging chains to the hooks and then to the mounting points on the fixture. Adjust the chain length to achieve the desired hanging height.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the fixture's power cord into a standard 120V outlet. If connecting to an existing junction box, ensure power is off at the circuit breaker before wiring.

4.2. Surface (Flush) Mount

  1. Mark Mounting Points: Hold the fixture against the desired surface (ceiling or wall) and mark the locations for the mounting screws.
  2. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If mounting into drywall, insert the provided wall anchors.
  3. Secure Fixture: Align the fixture with the pilot holes and secure it using the provided screws.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the fixture's power cord into a standard 120V outlet. If connecting to an existing junction box, ensure power is off at the circuit breaker before wiring.

4.3. Linking Multiple Fixtures (Daisy Chain)

You can connect up to 4 Sunco LED Shop Lights together to create an extended lighting system. This is ideal for larger areas requiring more comprehensive illumination.

  1. Install First Fixture: Install the first LED shop light using either the suspension or surface mount method.
  2. Connect Subsequent Fixtures: Use the provided linking connectors to attach additional fixtures to the end of the previously installed one. Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Secure All Fixtures: Ensure all linked fixtures are securely mounted to the ceiling or wall using the appropriate hardware.
  4. Power On: Once all connections are secure and fixtures are mounted, plug the main power cord into an outlet. All linked fixtures will operate from a single power source and the pull chain switch on the first fixture.
