Maintain a minimum of 20 cm (8 inches) of space above the oven, 10 cm (4 inches) at the rear, and 5 cm (2 inches) on both sides for proper airflow.

Setting Power Level

The upper knob, labeled 'Leistung' (Power), controls the microwave power output. Rotate this knob to select the desired power level:

  • 700W: High power for fast cooking and reheating.
  • 540W: Medium-High power for general cooking.
  • 390W: Medium power for slower cooking or delicate foods.
  • 230W: Medium-Low power for simmering or softening.
  • 120W: Low power for keeping food warm or very gentle defrosting.
  • Auftauen (Defrost): Specific setting for defrosting by weight.

Setting Cooking Time or Defrost Weight

The lower knob, labeled 'Zeit (Min)' (Time) and 'Auftauen (Kg)' (Defrost), controls the cooking duration or defrost weight.

  • For Cooking: After selecting a power level, rotate this knob clockwise to set the desired cooking time, up to a maximum of 35 minutes. The oven will start automatically once the timer is set.
  • For Defrosting by Weight: First, set the upper knob to 'Auftauen'. Then, rotate the lower knob to select the weight of the food to be defrosted (e.g., 0.2 kg, 0.4 kg, 0.6 kg, 0.8 kg, 1.0 kg). The oven will automatically calculate the defrosting time.

Basic Operation Steps

  1. Place the food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
  2. Close the oven door securely.
  3. Rotate the upper 'Leistung' knob to select the desired power level.
  4. Rotate the lower 'Zeit (Min)' knob to set the desired cooking time.
  5. The oven will begin cooking. The internal light will illuminate, and the turntable will rotate.
  6. When the set time expires, the oven will emit an audible signal and automatically turn off.
  7. Carefully remove the cooked food. Be aware that the container and food may be hot.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning of your microwave oven will ensure its longevity and efficient operation.

Cleaning the Exterior

  • Wipe the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as they can damage the finish.

Cleaning the Interior

  • To clean the interior, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • For stubborn food splatters, place a bowl of water with a few lemon slices inside the oven and heat on high for 2-3 minutes. The steam will loosen the residue, making it easier to wipe away.
