4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Choosing a Location

Place the pump in the deepest part of your pond, ensuring it is fully submerged and stable. Avoid placing it directly in heavy sludge.

4.2 Assembling the Filter Unit

The pump features a multi-stage filtration system. Ensure the filter sponge and other filter media are correctly placed within the unit. The unit includes a 5W UV-C lamp for water clarification.

4.3 Fountain or Pumping Function

The unit offers two primary functions: a decorative fountain or a water pump for circulation/waterfalls. You can switch between these by adjusting the output connection.

  • For Pumping: Install the water outlet connector and attach a hose to direct water to a waterfall or external filter.
  • For Fountain: Attach the fountain pole and desired nozzle directly to the pump outlet.

4.4 Fountain Nozzle Installation

Three different fountain nozzles are included to create various water patterns:

  • Curtain Model: Produces a dome-shaped water display.
  • Champagne Model: Creates a bubbling, frothy effect.
  • Raining Model: Generates a fine, spray-like pattern.

Select your preferred nozzle and securely attach it to the top of the fountain pole.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of your pond pump.

6.1 Cleaning the Filter

The filter sponge and media should be cleaned periodically, depending on the pond's condition and debris load. Disconnect power before opening the filter unit. Rinse the sponge and media with pond water (not tap water, to preserve beneficial bacteria) to remove accumulated debris.

6.2 UV-C Lamp Replacement

The UV-C lamp has a limited lifespan and should be replaced annually for optimal performance. Refer to the specifications for the correct replacement lamp type. Always handle the UV-C lamp with care and avoid touching the glass directly.

6.3 Impeller Cleaning

Periodically inspect and clean the pump's impeller to ensure unrestricted water flow. Remove any debris or mineral buildup that may hinder its rotation.
