4. Operating the Kingslim D1
4.1. Automatic Recording
The Kingslim D1 dash cam is designed for automatic operation. Once connected to power and the vehicle engine starts, the dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording. When the engine is turned off, the dash cam will save the current recording and power down.
4.2. Dual Recording (Front & Rear)
The D1 simultaneously records video from both the front and rear cameras. The front camera captures 1080P Full HD footage with a 170-degree wide angle, while the rear camera records 720P video with a 140-degree wide angle, providing a total 310-degree coverage.

4.3. Night Vision
Equipped with an advanced Starvis sensor and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology, the D1 dash cam captures clear and detailed video footage even in low-light conditions or complete darkness, ensuring visibility during nighttime driving.

4.4. G-Sensor & Emergency Lock
The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically saves and locks the current 20-second video segment, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This ensures crucial evidence is protected.
4.5. Loop Recording
When the MicroSD card reaches its storage limit, the loop recording feature automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked video files to make space for new recordings. Locked emergency videos are protected and will not be overwritten.
4.6. Parking Monitor & Motion Detection
These features provide surveillance when your vehicle is parked. The internal battery powers the dash cam to detect motion or impacts. If motion is detected or the G-sensor is triggered while parked, the dash cam will automatically start recording to capture any incidents.

4.7. Video Playback
Recorded videos can be viewed directly on the dash cam's screen or by removing the MicroSD card and inserting it into a computer with a compatible card reader. Ensure you have appropriate software to play back video files.

5. Maintenance
- MicroSD Card Maintenance: Regularly format your MicroSD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important videos before formatting.
- Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the front and rear camera lenses. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could scratch the lenses.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Kingslim official website periodically for any available firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated can improve performance and add new features.
6. Troubleshooting
- Dash cam does not power on:
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's 12V power outlet. Verify that the vehicle's power outlet is functioning. Check the vehicle's fuse box for any blown fuses related to the power outlet.
- Video quality is poor or blurry:
- Clean the camera lenses with a soft cloth. Ensure the protective film has been removed from both lenses. Check the video resolution settings in the dash cam menu. Ensure the windshield is clean where the camera is mounted.
- MicroSD card error message:
- Format the MicroSD card using the dash cam's menu. If the issue persists, try a different high-quality MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 64GB). Ensure the card is inserted correctly.
- Dash cam frequently restarts or freezes:
- Ensure the power supply is stable. Try using a different power cable or adapter. Format the MicroSD card. If the problem continues, contact customer support.
- Parking monitor or motion detection not working:
- Ensure these features are enabled in the dash cam's settings. Verify that the dash cam has sufficient power (internal battery charge) to operate these functions when the vehicle is off.
