Integrated Stereo Speakers
The HOTT C228 features built-in 4 stereo speakers, providing a surround sound experience without external headphones. This allows for shared listening of music or audiobooks.

Bluetooth 5.3 Connectivity
Equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, the CD player offers stable wireless connection to Bluetooth speakers or headphones. An optional Bluetooth list function helps identify and connect to desired devices accurately.

FM Transmitter & Aux Connection
The player supports 5 fixed FM transmitter channels for connecting to car audio systems with FM functionality. For cars without FM, a 3.5mm Aux input/output jack and included cable allow for wired connection. Note: FM and Bluetooth transmission cannot be used simultaneously.

Rechargeable Battery
A built-in 1800mAh lithium battery provides over 10 hours of playback after a 3-4 hour full charge. It is portable and convenient for home and travel use, charging via the included USB cable.
CD Format Compatibility & EQ Modes
Compatible with CD, MP3, CD-RW, CD-R formats and WMA, MP3, CD-DA audio formats (DVDs not supported). Five sound effects are available: BBS, Pop, Jazz, Rock, and Classical, providing high-restored pure sound quality.

Setup
Powering On/Off
- Locate the Power ON/OFF switch on the side of the device.
- Slide the switch to "ON" to power on the CD player.
- Slide the switch to "OFF" to power off the CD player.
Inserting/Removing a CD
- Locate the "OPEN" slider on the side of the device.
- Slide the "OPEN" button to release the lid.
- Carefully place a CD onto the spindle, ensuring it clicks into place.
- Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
- To remove, open the lid and gently lift the CD from the spindle.
Charging the Device
- Connect the Type C charging cable to the charging port on the device.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
Operating Instructions
Basic Playback
- Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button to start or pause playback.
- Next/Fast Forward: Press the Next button to skip to the next track. Press and hold to fast forward.
- Previous/Fast Rewind: Press the Previous button to go to the previous track. Press and hold to fast rewind.
- Stop: Press the Stop button to end playback.
Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the Volume +/- buttons located on the device.
EQ Modes
Press the EQ button repeatedly to cycle through the 5 sound effects: BBS, Pop, Jazz, Rock, and Classical.
A-B Repeat Function
Press the A-B Repeat button to set a starting point (A) and an ending point (B) for a specific section of audio to repeat. Press again to cancel.
Bluetooth Connection
- Ensure the CD player is powered on.
- Press the BT button to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The Bluetooth indicator will flash.
- Enable Bluetooth on your external device (headphones, speaker) and search for "HOTT C228".
- Select "HOTT C228" to pair. The indicator will become solid when connected.
FM Transmitter Connection
- Ensure the CD player is powered on.
- Press the FM TX button to activate the FM transmitter.
- Tune your car's FM radio to one of the 5 fixed FM channels displayed on the CD player.
- Ensure both devices are on the same FM channel for audio transmission.
- Note: FM transmission and Bluetooth transmission cannot be used simultaneously.
Auxiliary (AUX) Connection
Connect the provided 3.5mm Jack Audio Cable from the CD player's Aux port to the Aux input of an external audio device (e.g., car stereo, home speaker system).
Button Lock Function
Slide the HOLD switch on the side of the device to lock all buttons, preventing accidental presses during portability.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- CD Care: Handle CDs by the edges. Keep them clean and free of scratches to ensure optimal playback.
- Battery Care: Avoid extreme temperatures. If storing for a long period, charge the battery periodically to maintain its health.
