Operation: Extending and Collapsing the Table
The Polibi Farmhouse Dining Table features an integrated leaf mechanism for easy extension.
To Extend the Table:
- Unlock the Tabletop: Locate any latches or locking mechanisms on the underside of the table that secure the two halves of the tabletop. Release these locks.
- Pull Apart the Halves: Gently pull the two halves of the round tabletop apart. The internal sliding mechanism will guide the halves smoothly, creating a gap in the center.

Care and Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Polibi dining table.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a dry or damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the wood finish.
- Spills: Immediately wipe up any spills to prevent staining or water damage.
- Heat and Moisture: Use coasters and placemats to protect the surface from hot items and moisture.
- Sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading or cracking of the wood.
- Movement: When moving the table, always lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the legs and floor.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically check and tighten all bolts and fasteners to ensure the table remains stable.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your dining table.
- Table Wobbles:
- Ensure the table is on a flat, even surface.
- Check all assembly bolts and fasteners. Tighten any that are loose.
- If the floor is uneven, use furniture pads or shims under the legs to stabilize the table.
- Extension Leaf Does Not Fit Properly:
- Ensure the two halves of the tabletop are pulled apart sufficiently and evenly.
- Check for any obstructions in the sliding mechanism or debris in the leaf slot.
- Verify that the leaf is oriented correctly.
- Difficulty Sliding Table Halves:
- Ensure any locking mechanisms on the underside are fully disengaged.
- Check the sliding rails for debris or damage. Clean if necessary.
- Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant (not oil-based) to the sliding mechanism if friction is high.
