Assembly Steps:

2. Assemble the Base: Connect the X-shaped base components according to the diagrams in your separate manual. Ensure all joints are aligned and secured with the provided hardware. The base is designed for stability and features keyed-through tenons.

3. Attach the Tabletop: Carefully place the tabletop upside down on your protected surface. Align the assembled base with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the tabletop. Secure the base to the tabletop using the provided screws and fasteners. Ensure all connections are tight.

4. Upright the Table: With assistance, carefully flip the assembled table upright. Place it in its desired location.

Operation: Extending and Collapsing the Table

The Polibi Farmhouse Dining Table features an integrated leaf mechanism for easy extension.

To Extend the Table:

1. Unlock the Tabletop: Locate any latches or locking mechanisms on the underside of the table that secure the two halves of the tabletop. Release these locks.
2. Pull Apart the Halves: Gently pull the two halves of the round tabletop apart. The internal sliding mechanism will guide the halves smoothly, creating a gap in the center.

3. Insert the Leaf: Take the 16-inch extension leaf and carefully place it into the gap created between the two tabletop halves. Ensure it sits flush and aligns with the existing tabletop.

4. Push Halves Together: Gently push the two tabletop halves back towards the inserted leaf until they are snug against it.
5. Secure the Tabletop: Re-engage any latches or locking mechanisms on the underside of the table to secure the extended tabletop in place.

To Collapse the Table:

1. Unlock the Tabletop: Release any latches or locking mechanisms securing the tabletop.
2. Pull Apart the Halves: Gently pull the two tabletop halves apart, creating a gap.
3. Remove the Leaf: Carefully lift and remove the extension leaf from the gap. Store the leaf in a safe place to prevent damage.
4. Push Halves Together: Gently push the two tabletop halves back together until they meet, forming the round table.
5. Secure the Tabletop: Re-engage any latches or locking mechanisms to secure the collapsed tabletop.
