Setup
Plumbing Installation
The Mxmoonant Pool Heater is equipped with 1.5-inch PVC connectors. It is recommended to use SCH40 1.5-inch PVC pipe for plumbing installation. If using other pipe sizes, ensure the connection starts with 1.5 inches at the heater.
A circulation pump is required for proper operation. The power of the circulation pump should be more than 1 HP. Insufficient pump power may lead to inadequate water flow and heating issues. Ensure the pump is a circulation pump, not a booster or submersible pump.

This video demonstrates the proper plumbing connections and the importance of using a circulation pump with sufficient power.
Electrical Connection
The pool heater operates on 220V. For regions with a 110V standard (such as the United States and Canada), it requires one ground wire and two hot wires. Ensure that the wiring complies with local electrical standards to guarantee safe operation. It is highly recommended to use a 2P GFCI breaker.

Select the appropriate breaker based on the heater's power:
- 9KW: 50A Breaker
- 11KW: 60A Breaker
- 15KW: 90A Breaker
- 18KW: 110A Breaker

Operating Instructions
Touchscreen Display and Temperature Setting
The upgraded touchscreen display allows for easy monitoring and adjustment of the water temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 77°F to 122°F (25°C to 50°C). You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius units directly on the display.

Automatic Circulation Heating
The heater features automatic circulating heating. When the water temperature reaches or surpasses the preset level, the thermostat will automatically shut off. Conversely, if the temperature drops below the preset level, the thermostat will automatically turn on again to maintain the desired temperature.

Heating Element Operation
The electric pool heater utilizes 304 stainless steel heating tubes. As water passes through these tubes, it absorbs heat, increasing its temperature. This design ensures efficient heat transfer, speeding up heating times and contributing to energy efficiency.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficient operation of your pool heater. Always ensure the unit is disconnected from power before performing any maintenance.
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the unit clean and free from debris.
- Inspect Connections: Periodically check all plumbing and electrical connections for any signs of leaks, corrosion, or loose fittings.
- Water Quality: Maintain proper water chemistry in your pool or spa to prevent scale buildup and corrosion within the heater.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Mxmoonant Pool Heater, refer to the following common troubleshooting tips:
- No Heat Output:
- Ensure the circulation pump is running and water is flowing through the heater before turning the unit on.
- Check the "Flow Indicator" light on the display. If it's not lit, there might be insufficient water flow. Verify pump operation and check for blockages in the plumbing.
- Check the "Heating Indicator" light. If it's not lit, the heating element may not be active. Verify power supply and temperature settings.
- Confirm the desired temperature is set above the current water temperature.
- Unit Not Turning On:
- Verify that the main power switch on the unit is in the ON position.
- Check your electrical breaker for trips.
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure (professional inspection recommended).
- Inconsistent Heating:
- Ensure the circulation pump is providing consistent flow.
- Factors such as pool size, ambient temperature, and insulation can affect heating time and consistency.
