ALONEFIRE TK504 850nm

ALONEFIRE TK504 850nm IR Flashlight User Manual

Model: TK504 850nm

1. Introduction

The ALONEFIRE TK504 850nm IR Flashlight is a powerful infrared illuminator designed to enhance night vision capabilities for various outdoor activities, security, and observation. This device emits invisible 850nm infrared light, which requires a night vision device (NVD) to be visible. Its zoomable function allows for adjustable beam patterns, and its durable, waterproof design ensures reliable performance in challenging environments. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your TK504 IR Flashlight.

2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: This device utilizes a VCSEL laser source, not a standard LED, to produce infrared illumination. While the 850nm infrared light is largely invisible to the naked eye, direct exposure to the beam, especially when focused or viewed through magnification devices, can cause severe eye damage. Exercise extreme caution during operation.

  • Never look directly into the flashlight's lens when it is operating.
  • Avoid pointing the flashlight at people or animals.
  • Do not view the infrared beam through binoculars, telescopes, or any other magnifying optical instruments, as this significantly increases the risk of eye injury.
  • Ensure the front lens cap is fully screwed on during operation to maintain the intended beam diameter and reduce hazard.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Use only the provided or approved charging cable and battery.

Always prioritize safety when operating this infrared illuminator.

5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The TK504 comes with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. If the battery is not pre-installed, unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight, insert the battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight, and then securely screw the tail cap back on.

5.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the battery. Connect the USB charging cable to the provided battery charger, then plug the charger into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). Insert the battery into the charger. The charger will indicate when charging is complete (refer to charger's specific indicator lights).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Press the button on the tail cap to turn the flashlight on. Press it again to turn it off.

6.2 Adjusting Focus (Zoom Function)

The TK504 features an adjustable focus head. To change the beam pattern from a wide flood to a narrow spot, slide the head of the flashlight forward or backward. This allows you to concentrate the infrared light for longer distances or spread it for wider area illumination.

6.3 Using with Night Vision Devices

The 850nm infrared light emitted by the TK504 is primarily visible through night vision equipment. For optimal performance, activate your night vision device and then turn on the IR flashlight. Adjust the focus of the flashlight to suit your viewing distance and desired illumination area.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Charging

Recharge the battery when the flashlight's performance diminishes. Use the provided USB charging cable and battery charger. Avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.

7.2 Cleaning

Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

7.3 Storage

Store the flashlight in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for extended periods, remove the battery and store it separately, ensuring it has a partial charge (around 50%).

7.4 Water Resistance

The TK504 is designed to be waterproof. Ensure all caps and seals are tightly closed before exposing the flashlight to water to maintain its water resistance level.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Flashlight does not turn on:
    • Check if the battery is correctly inserted with the positive (+) end facing forward.
    • Ensure the battery is charged.
    • Verify the tail cap is screwed on tightly.
  • Poor illumination or range:
    • Ensure the battery is fully charged.
    • Adjust the focus of the flashlight head.
    • Confirm your night vision device is functioning correctly and is compatible with 850nm IR illumination.
    • Remember that 850nm IR is largely invisible to the naked eye; a faint red glow may be visible from the emitter, but the primary illumination requires an NVD.
