4. Maintenance

4.1 Storage Management

The DVR comes with a pre-installed 2TB hard drive, providing over 10 days of continuous recording. The system supports a maximum storage capacity of 16TB. You can upgrade the storage by installing a larger hard drive, depending on your DVR model (4/8-channel systems support one hard drive up to 16TB, 16-channel systems support two hard drives up to 16TB each). Motion detection recording can help optimize hard drive space.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Camera Not Showing Up on DVR (All Tiger Logo Issue)

If your DVR channels display the TIGERSECU logo instead of camera feeds, it typically indicates that the cameras are not sending a video signal. This can be due to power supply issues or incorrect connections.

  1. Check Camera Connections: Ensure all cameras are properly connected to the DVR. Verify that every cable is securely plugged into both the DVR and each camera. A loose or missing connection can cause this issue.
  2. Check Power Supply: Ensure the DVR and cameras are powered by separate, sufficient power adapters. An underpowered adapter can prevent cameras from working correctly. You can check if a camera is receiving power by testing its night vision: make the room dark or cover the camera lens. If you see a red glow from the camera's lens, its night vision is working, indicating it's receiving power. If there's no glow, replace the power adapter for that camera.

5.2 Camera Compatibility

The TIGERSECU Super HD DVR supports Analog D1, AHD, TVI, CVI, and certain IP cameras, provided their resolution is 5 megapixels or lower. SDI cameras are NOT supported.

To check compatibility, identify your camera's brand and model number (usually found on the manufacturer's sticker or website). Then, search for its specifications to confirm it matches the supported formats and resolution. If you are unsure, contact TIGERSECU support with your camera model for assistance.
