Setup Guide
There are two primary methods to set up your rockspace AC2100 WiFi Extender: using the WPS button or through a web browser. Ensure your mobile network is turned off before connecting to the extender's network.
Method 1: Web Browser Setup (Recommended for initial setup)
This method provides full control over the extender's settings, including setting a unique password for the extended network.
- Position the Extender: Place the antennas as shown in the image. Plug the extender into an electrical outlet. Wait for the Power LED to turn solid blue.
- Connect to Extender's Network: On your phone or computer, open Wi-Fi settings. Find and connect to the "rockspace_EXT" Wi-Fi network. The setup page should automatically pop up.
- Create Login Password: Set up a login password for the Wi-Fi extender. This password is for accessing the extender's settings page.
- Select Network to Extend: Select the Wi-Fi network you want to extend from the list.
- Enter Existing Network Password: Type in the password for your existing Wi-Fi network. You can also change the SSID (name) of the extended network if desired.
- Confirm Extension: Once configured, the extender will successfully extend your network. The Signal indicator light on the extender will turn solid blue, indicating a successful connection.

Method 2: WPS Button Setup (Quick Setup)
The WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) method offers a quick way to connect your extender to your router without needing to access the web interface.
- Power On Extender: Plug the extender into an electrical outlet and wait for the Power LED to turn solid blue.
- Press WPS on Extender: Press the WPS button on the rockspace extender.
- Press WPS on Router: Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your main router.
- Verify Connection: Both the extender's Signal LED and your router's WPS indicator should turn solid blue (or green/amber depending on your router), indicating a successful connection. If the Signal LED does not turn solid blue, try Method One.

Operation
Once your rockspace AC2100 WiFi Extender is successfully set up, it will broadcast an extended Wi-Fi network. Devices can connect to this extended network just like they would to any other Wi-Fi network.
- Connecting Devices: Search for the extended Wi-Fi network (usually your original network name with "_EXT" appended, or a custom name you set during setup) on your device and enter the password (either your original Wi-Fi password or the one you set for the extended network).
- Optimal Placement: For best performance, place the extender halfway between your main router and the Wi-Fi dead zone. The Signal LED on the extender indicates signal strength: solid blue for good signal, solid red for poor signal. Adjust placement until the Signal LED is solid blue.
- Wired Connection: Use the Gigabit Ethernet port to connect wired devices like smart TVs, gaming consoles, or desktop computers for a stable and high-speed connection.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your rockspace AC2100 WiFi Extender, consider the following maintenance tips:
- Regular Reboot: Periodically reboot the extender (unplug and plug back in) to clear its memory and refresh its connection.
- Firmware Updates: Check the rockspace official website for any available firmware updates. Keeping the firmware updated can improve performance, security, and add new features.
- Cleanliness: Keep the extender free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the exterior. Ensure ventilation holes are not blocked.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid placing the extender in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your rockspace AC2100 WiFi Extender, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- No Signal/Poor Signal:
- Ensure the extender is within range of your main router.
- Relocate the extender closer to the router if the Signal LED is red or off.
- Check for physical obstructions like thick walls or large appliances.
- Cannot Access Setup Page:
- Verify you are connected to the "rockspace_EXT" network.
- Ensure your mobile data is turned off.
- Try a different web browser or device.
- Enter the default access URL (usually printed on the extender's label) directly into your browser.
- Connection Drops Frequently:
- Adjust the extender's position for better signal strength.
- Ensure your main router's firmware is up to date.
- Reduce the number of connected devices if too many are active simultaneously.
- Resetting the Extender: If all else fails, you can reset the extender to its factory default settings.
- Locate the "Reset" button (usually a small pinhole) on the extender.
- Use a needle-shaped object (like a paperclip) to press and hold the "Reset" button.
- Continue holding until the PWR indicator light flashes, and all indicators light flash, then release. The extender will reboot with factory settings.
