2. Safety Information
Please read these safety precautions carefully before using the camera to prevent injury or damage to the product.

4. Camera Parts
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your Instax Mini 12 camera:
- Lens Barrel: Twist to power on/off and activate close-up mode.

5. Setup
5.1. Inserting Batteries
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the side of the camera.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AA-size alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2. Loading Film
- Open the film compartment cover on the back of the camera.
- Align the yellow mark on the Instax Mini film pack with the yellow mark inside the camera's film compartment.
- Gently push the film pack in until it clicks into place.
- Close the film compartment cover. The camera will automatically eject the black film cover sheet. Do not pull this sheet out manually.
Important: Never open the film compartment cover once film is loaded, as this will expose the film and render it unusable.

6. Operating the Camera
6.1. Turning On/Off
- To turn on the camera, twist the lens barrel clockwise until it clicks into the 'ON' position. The flash lamp will light up.
- To turn off the camera, twist the lens barrel counter-clockwise until it clicks into the 'OFF' position.
6.2. Taking Photos
- Turn on the camera.
- Hold the camera firmly and look through the viewfinder to compose your shot.
- Press the shutter button to take a picture. The flash will automatically fire if needed, and the photo will be ejected from the film slot.
- Allow the photo to develop naturally. Do not shake or bend the print.

6.3. Close-Up/Selfie Mode
- To activate Close-Up/Selfie Mode, twist the lens barrel further clockwise past the 'ON' position until it clicks into the 'CLOSE-UP' position.
- When taking selfies, use the small mirror next to the lens to frame your face.
- For close-up shots, ensure your subject is between 30 to 50 cm (12 to 20 inches) from the lens.

6.4. Printing Photos
After pressing the shutter button, the camera will automatically eject the exposed film from the film ejection slot. The image will gradually appear over approximately 90 seconds (development time varies with temperature). Do not touch the developing area of the film.
