Operating Instructions

1. Playing Online

Once connected to the DGT Chess app, you can select your preferred online chess platform or opponent. The board's illuminating squares will indicate your opponent's moves and can also highlight illegal moves, providing a seamless physical-digital chess experience.

2. PGN Creation

The DGT Pegasus automatically creates a Portable Game Notation (PGN) file of your games. This allows you to analyze your games, share them with others, or review your play for improvement.

3. Board Calibration

If the board experiences issues recognizing pieces or moves, recalibration may be necessary. To calibrate, remove all pieces from the board, press the designated calibration button (refer to the quick start guide for exact location), wait for the indicator lights to confirm, and then replace the pieces. This process ensures accurate piece recognition.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean the DGT Pegasus board and pieces, use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the electronic components and surface finish.

2. Battery Care

To prolong the life of the internal lithium battery, avoid fully discharging it frequently. Recharge the board when the battery indicator suggests low power. Store the board in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
