Setup Instructions

The Douk Audio VU102 offers two primary operational modes: 2-IN-1-OUT and 1-IN-2-OUT. Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the unit.

Power Connection:

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the "USB 5V IN" port on the rear of the VU102.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a 5V USB power adapter (not included).

Mode 1: 1-IN-2-OUT (One Amplifier, Two Speaker Pairs)

This mode allows you to connect one amplifier and switch between two pairs of speakers (Speaker A and Speaker B), or play both simultaneously. This is ideal for comparing different speaker characteristics.

  1. Connect the output of your amplifier to the "I/O" speaker binding posts on the rear of the VU102.
  2. Connect your first pair of speakers (Speaker A) to the "A" speaker binding posts.
  3. Connect your second pair of speakers (Speaker B) to the "B" speaker binding posts.

Mode 2: 2-IN-1-OUT (Two Amplifiers, One Speaker Pair)

This mode allows you to connect two amplifiers (Amplifier A and Amplifier B) to a single pair of speakers. This is useful for comparing the sound quality of different amplifiers. Important: Only one amplifier can operate at a time in this mode to prevent damage.

  1. Connect your first amplifier (Amplifier A) to the "A" speaker binding posts on the rear of the VU102.
  2. Connect your second amplifier (Amplifier B) to the "B" speaker binding posts.
  3. Connect your single pair of speakers to the "I/O" speaker binding posts.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

  • To power on, ensure the USB 5V power is connected. The unit will automatically power on.
  • To power off, press and hold the A/B selector button on the front panel for 3 seconds.

Channel Selection:

  • Front Panel: Briefly press the A/B selector button to switch between channel A and channel B. The corresponding A or B indicator light will illuminate.
  • Remote Control: Use the A/B button on the remote control to switch between channels.
  • In 1-IN-2-OUT mode, you can select A, B, or A+B (both speakers simultaneously) using the remote control. The physical button on the unit only toggles between A and B.

VU Meter Operation:

  • The large VU meter dynamically displays the audio signal levels.
