Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully to ensure proper and secure installation of your QEEIG Floating Shelves.

1. Prepare the Wall:

   Choose a suitable location on your wall. Use a stud finder to locate wood studs if available, as direct fastening to studs provides the strongest support. If mounting to drywall without studs or to brick/concrete, ensure you have the correct anchors.

2. Mark Hole Locations:

   Hold the metal bracket against the wall at your desired height. Use the included mini-level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the positions of the screw holes on the wall with a pencil. For optimal support, the brackets are designed with 16-inch screw spacing to align with standard gypsum board studs.

3. Drill Pilot Holes:

   Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. The drill bit size will depend on your wall material and the type of anchors you are using. For wood studs, a smaller pilot hole is needed. For drywall or concrete, larger holes for anchors will be required.

4. Install Anchors (if needed):

   If not drilling into wood studs, insert the appropriate wall anchors into the pilot holes. Tap them gently with a hammer until they are flush with the wall surface.

5. Mount the Bracket:

   Align the metal bracket with the drilled holes (or installed anchors) and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Tighten all screws firmly to ensure the bracket is stable and flush against the wall.

6. Slide the Shelf Board:

   Carefully slide the MDF shelf board onto the metal rods of the mounted bracket. The board is hollow and designed to fit snugly over the rods, creating the "floating" effect.

7. Secure the Shelf Board:

   Once the board is fully seated, use the short screws provided to fix the board to the bracket from the underside. This prevents the board from sliding off the rods.
