POXURIO 2450-Watt Portable Inverter Generator

User Manual

1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the POXURIO 2450-Watt Portable Inverter Generator. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your generator. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the unit and keep it for future reference.

2. Safety Information

Operating a generator can be hazardous. Always follow safety precautions to prevent serious injury or death. This generator produces carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless gas that can kill you. Use outdoors only, far away from windows, doors, and vents. Never use inside a home or garage, even if doors and windows are open.

Fuel Safety: Gasoline is highly flammable. Always refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator.

Electrical Safety: Do not operate in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are secure and properly grounded. Avoid overloading the generator.

Hot Surfaces: The generator's exhaust and engine components become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.

Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.

5. Setup

5.1 Adding Engine Oil

Before first use, the generator must be filled with engine oil. Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick on the side panel. Remove the panel, unscrew the dipstick, and add 10W-30 engine oil until it reaches the full mark on the dipstick. The capacity is approximately 0.45 L (15.2 fl oz). Do not overfill. Replace the dipstick and panel securely.

5.2 Adding Fuel

Ensure the generator is on a level surface and the engine is off and cool. Unscrew the fuel cap. Use the provided gas fill funnel to add fresh, unleaded gasoline (87 octane or higher) to the fuel tank. The tank capacity is 1.6 gallons (6 liters). Do not fill above the red indicator. Securely replace the fuel cap, ensuring the vent is open for operation.

6. Operating the Generator

6.1 Starting Procedure (Recoil Start)

  1. Place the generator on a flat, outdoor surface, away from any obstructions.
  2. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is correct.
  3. Turn the Easy Start Dial to the 'CHOKE' position.
  4. Pull the recoil start handle firmly and smoothly until the engine starts.
  5. Once the engine starts, slowly move the Easy Start Dial to the 'RUN' position.
  6. Allow the generator to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical devices.

6.2 Connecting Devices

The control panel features various outlets:

  • AC 120V Outlets: Two standard 120V AC outlets (20A and 30A circuit breakers).
  • USB Ports: USB-A (5V 1A) and USB-C (5V 2.1A) for charging small electronic devices.

Always ensure the total wattage of connected devices does not exceed the generator's running wattage (1800 Watts) or starting wattage (2450 Watts).

6.3 Eco Mode

The Eco Mode switch allows the generator to automatically adjust engine speed to match the load, improving fuel efficiency and reducing noise levels. When less power is required, the engine RPM will decrease. When more power is needed, the engine RPM will increase to accommodate the demand. This feature helps conserve fuel and extends runtime.

6.4 Parallel Connection

For increased power output, two POXURIO inverter generators can be connected in parallel using a compatible parallel kit (sold separately). Refer to the parallel kit's instructions for proper connection and operation.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your generator. Always turn off the engine and allow it to cool before performing any maintenance.

7.1 Engine Oil Change

Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Refer to the manual for detailed steps on draining and refilling the oil.

7.2 Spark Plug Service

Inspect and clean the spark plug every 50 hours or every 3 months. Replace if necessary. The spark plug service access is located on the top panel.

7.3 Air Filter Cleaning

Check and clean the air filter every 50 hours or every 3 months. Clean with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely before reinstallation.

7.4 Storage

If storing the generator for an extended period, drain the fuel tank and carburetor to prevent fuel degradation. Pour out the oil to increase the lifespan of the machine. Store in a clean, dry place.

8. Troubleshooting

If your generator experiences issues, consult the following common troubleshooting tips. For problems not listed, contact customer support.

  • Engine will not start: Check fuel level, oil level, spark plug condition, and ensure the Easy Start Dial is in the correct position.
  • No power output: Check circuit breakers on the control panel. Ensure no overload condition exists.
  • Engine runs rough: Check fuel quality, air filter cleanliness, and spark plug condition.
