2. Safety Instructions

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully unpack the mixing console and check for any signs of damage during transit. Retain the original packaging for future transport or storage.
3.2 Power Connection
Connect the mixing console to a 5V USB power source using the provided USB cable. The power input is located on the rear panel.

3.3 Input Connections
- Channels 1-4: Connect microphones or line-level instruments using XLR or 6.3mm jack cables.
- Channels 5/6 (Stereo): Connect stereo line-level sources using 6.3mm jack cables or a 3.5mm stereo jack cable.
- Channels 7/8 (Stereo): Connect stereo line-level sources using 6.3mm jack cables.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
Press the POWER button located on the top right of the console to turn the unit on or off. The LED display will illuminate upon power-on.

4.2 Channel Controls
- GAIN/TRIM: Adjusts the input sensitivity for each channel. Use the PAD switch (channels 1-4) to attenuate strong signals if distortion occurs.
- EQ (High, Mid, Low): Adjusts the tonal balance for each channel. The mid-range control is adjustable.
- PAN/BALANCE: Adjusts the stereo position of the channel signal.
- LEVEL: Controls the overall volume of the channel sent to the main mix.
- +48V Phantom Power: Switchable for channels 1-4. Activate only when using condenser microphones that require phantom power.
4.3 Digital MP3 Player
Insert a USB drive containing MP3 files into the USB port. Use the controls on the digital display section to play, pause, skip tracks, and adjust volume. The display shows track number and playback time.
4.4 Bluetooth Connectivity
Activate Bluetooth mode on the mixing console. On your smartphone or tablet, search for "Vonyx VM-KG08" (or similar) and pair. Audio streamed from your device will play through the mixer.
4.5 USB Audio Interface
Connect the mixer to a computer via the USB "TO PC" port. The mixer will function as an audio interface, allowing you to record the mixed audio directly to your computer or play audio from your computer through the mixer.
4.6 DSP Effects Processor
The VM-KG08 features a 32-bit DSP with 99 effects. Use the PROGRAM knob to select an effect. Adjust the FX LEVEL control for each channel to send signal to the effects processor, and the main FX/SEND control to adjust the overall effect return level.
