1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Check for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
3. Ensure all parts listed in the product packaging are present.

4.2 Assembly

1. Attach the handle to the main body of the steam mop until it clicks securely into place.
2. Place the cleaning pad onto the mop head. The pad should attach securely with the hook-and-loop fasteners.

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

1. Ensure the steam mop is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Locate the water tank cap, usually on the front or side of the main unit.
3. Open the cap and fill the water tank with clean tap water. Do not overfill. Distilled or demineralized water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup, especially in hard water areas.
4. Securely close the water tank cap.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Preparing for Use

1. Ensure the cleaning pad is securely attached and the water tank is filled.
2. Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is heating up.
3. Wait approximately 15-30 seconds for the steam mop to heat up and be ready for use. The indicator light may change color or turn off when ready, refer to your specific model's indicator.

5.2 Cleaning Your Floors

• Begin mopping by moving the steam mop slowly and steadily across the floor surface.
• The steam will be released as you move the mop. For stubborn stains, hold the mop over the area for a few seconds to allow the steam to penetrate.
• The Vileda Steam Mop is effective at killing 99.9% of bacteria on sealed hard floors.

• When the water tank is empty, the steam production will stop. Unplug the unit and refill the tank as per section 4.3.
• Always unplug the steam mop after use.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Cleaning Pad

• The cleaning pads are machine washable. Remove the pad from the mop head after each use.
• Wash the pad in a washing machine with similar colors, using a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
• Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Ensure the pad is completely dry before reattaching or storing.

6.2 Descaling (Recommended)

Over time, mineral deposits can build up in the water tank and internal components, especially if using hard tap water. Regular descaling is recommended to maintain optimal performance.

1. Unplug the steam mop and ensure it is cool.
2. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
3. Pour the solution into the water tank.
4. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes, then empty the tank.
5. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
6. Run a tank of clean water through the mop to flush out any remaining vinegar.

6.3 Storage

• Ensure the steam mop is unplugged and completely cool.
• Empty any remaining water from the tank.
• Remove and wash the cleaning pad.
• Store the steam mop in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.
