Setup
Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the 12V 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery pack using the provided GAL12V-20 Battery Charger. Insert the battery into the charger until it clicks into place. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
Installing Accessories
The Dremel 8240 features an EZ Twist Nose Cap for quick accessory changes. To install an accessory:
- Unscrew the EZ Twist Nose Cap.
- Press and hold the shaft lock button.
- Loosen the collet nut.
- Insert the accessory shank fully into the collet.
- Tighten the collet nut firmly while holding the shaft lock button. Do not overtighten.
