- Attach the single-lever handle and the two-way diverter knob (if separate) according to the manufacturer's instructions provided with the trim kit.
- Ensure all components are securely fastened and operate smoothly.

The design facilitates straightforward installation.
6. Operating Instructions
The Ideal Standard Cerabase mixer features a single lever for controlling water flow and temperature, and a two-way function for diverting water.

Figure 3: Front view of the mixer.
6.1 Water Flow and Temperature Control
- To turn the water on, lift the single lever handle.
- To increase water flow, lift the handle further. To decrease flow, lower the handle.
- To adjust water temperature, move the handle left for hotter water and right for colder water.
- The integrated EKO cartridge helps save water and energy by providing a tactile resistance at a certain flow rate, indicating the optimal water-saving position. Pushing past this resistance provides full flow.

The EKO cartridge promotes water and energy efficiency.
6.2 Two-Way Diverter Function
The upper knob on the mixer acts as a two-way diverter, allowing you to switch water flow between two connected outlets (e.g., a bath spout and a separate shower outlet). Rotate the knob to select the desired water outlet.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning the Chrome Finish
- Clean the mixer regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for chrome finishes.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
- Avoid using abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or cleaners containing acids, ammonia, or bleach, as these can damage the chrome finish.
7.2 Cartridge Maintenance
If you experience issues with water flow or temperature control, the 47mm ceramic cartridge may require inspection or replacement. This is a specialized task and should ideally be performed by a qualified plumber.
