4. Operation

4.1 Display Overview

The large color display provides a comprehensive view of current air quality parameters:

  • CO2 Concentration (PPM): Central large number, indicating parts per million.
  • Temperature: Displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
  • Humidity: Displayed as a percentage.
  • Time: Current time.
  • Alarm Status: Icons indicating active alarms.
  • Battery Indicator: Shows remaining battery life.

4.2 Understanding CO2 Levels

The device categorizes CO2 concentration into three stages, indicated by color changes on the display and corresponding icons:

  • Normal Stage: CO2 ≤ 800 ppm (Green indicator). Indicates good air quality.
  • Warning Stage: CO2 801 - 1600 ppm (Yellow indicator). Suggests ventilation may be required.
  • Dangerous Stage: CO2 > 1600 ppm (Red indicator). Indicates poor air quality; immediate ventilation is recommended.

4.3 Setting Alarms

The LFF CO2 Detector features customizable dual alarms. When the measured CO2 level reaches your set high or low alarm threshold, an audible beep will sound, and the alarm icon will flash. Refer to the device's on-screen menu or specific buttons (usually labeled 'SET' or 'MODE') to adjust the CO2 alarm values.

4.5 Time and Date Setting

To set the current time and date, navigate through the device's menu using the control buttons. Follow the on-screen prompts to adjust hours, minutes, and date. Consult the quick start guide or on-screen instructions for specific button sequences.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean the device, gently wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in water. Ensure the sensor vents are clear of dust and debris.

5.2 Battery Care

To maximize battery lifespan, avoid fully discharging the device frequently. For prolonged storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place. If using the device continuously, it is recommended to keep it plugged in to a power source.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Inaccurate CO2 Readings: If you suspect inaccurate readings, take the device outdoors for 10-15 minutes to allow it to recalibrate to ambient CO2 levels (typically around 400-450 ppm). Ensure the sensor vents are not obstructed.
  • Short Battery Life: Ensure the device is fully charged before use. Adjust the backlight brightness to a lower setting to conserve power. For continuous monitoring, keep the device connected to a power source via the Type-C cable.
  • Device Not Powering On: Check if the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source and attempt to power it on again. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
  • Alarm Not Sounding: Verify that the alarm thresholds are set correctly and that the alarm function is enabled in the device settings.
