1. Introduction

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The Equity 14077 clock requires one (1) AA alkaline battery (not included) for operation. Follow these steps to install the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
  2. Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding or lifting it off.
  3. Insert one fresh AA alkaline battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: Always use fresh batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the clock will not be used for an extended period.

2.2 Initial Time Setting

After installing the battery, set the current time:

  1. Locate the Time Set Knob on the back of the clock.
  2. Rotate the Time Set Knob clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hour and minute hands display the correct current time.

3. Operation

3.1 Setting the Alarm

To set the alarm time:

  1. Locate the Alarm Set Knob on the back of the clock.
  2. Rotate the Alarm Set Knob to move the small alarm hand to your desired wake-up time.
  3. Locate the Alarm ON/OFF Switch (often a small slide switch) on the back or side of the clock.
  4. Slide the switch to the "ON" position to activate the alarm. Slide it to "OFF" to deactivate.

When the alarm is set to "ON", it will sound at the set time with a loud beep. To stop the alarm, slide the Alarm ON/OFF Switch to the "OFF" position.

3.2 Glow-in-the-Dark Feature

The clock features luminescent numbers and hands that glow in low-light conditions. This feature is passive and does not require additional power. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the amount of light exposure the clock receives during the day.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean your clock, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the clock's finish or internal components.

4.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the AA battery annually or when the clock's timekeeping becomes inaccurate or the alarm weakens. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 2.1.
