3. Assembly Instructions

The X-PRO 50cc Moped requires some assembly. It is recommended to have basic mechanical knowledge or seek professional assistance. Ensure the moped is on a stable, level surface during assembly.

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the moped from its packaging. The internal steel frame protects the bike during shipping. Inspect all parts for any signs of damage. If any damage is found, contact customer support immediately.

3.2 Handlebar and Steering Assembly

  1. Unbolt the forks from the boxing frame.
  2. Carefully align the handlebar assembly with the steering column.
  3. Insert the steering bolt through the column. It may be helpful to turn the assembly slightly to align the bolt.
  4. Secure the nut onto the steering bolt and tighten it firmly.

3.3 Front Wheel and Brake Installation

  1. Place the moped on its center stand and lift the front with a low-profile jack, supporting it securely.
  2. Ensure the brake caliper is spaced apart to allow the rotor to slide in easily.
  3. Apply a small amount of bearing grease to the inner spacer and place it on the caliper side of the wheel.
  4. Slide the wheel, with the rotor, into the caliper.
  5. Lightly grease the wheel bolt and slide it through the fork, caliper, and partially into the wheel.
  6. Align the speedometer into the other side of the wheel, applying light grease to the hole.
  7. Push the wheel bolt completely through the speedometer-attached side of the wheel.
  8. Install and tighten the nut securely.

3.4 Battery Installation

  1. Pull back the floor mat and unscrew the battery cover.
  2. Remove the new battery from its packaging and unwrap the hardware.
  3. Connect the battery cables to the corresponding terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative).
  4. Reinstall the battery cover and floor mat.

3.5 Mirror and Storage Box Installation

  1. Install the mirrors into their designated mounts on the handlebars and tighten them as necessary for proper visibility.
  2. Attach the rear storage box using the provided hardware, securing it to the pre-drilled holes in the brackets on the back of the moped.

4. Initial Setup and Pre-Operation Checks

Before the first ride, it is essential to perform these setup steps.

4.1 Engine Oil Change

The moped is shipped with break-in oil. It is highly recommended to change the engine oil before the first operation.

  1. Locate the oil drain plug.
  2. Place a drain pan underneath.
  3. Remove the plug, spring, and mini filter. Set them aside carefully.
  4. Pull out the oil check gauge and allow the oil to drain completely.
  5. Once drained, reassemble the filter, spring, and bolt. Start threading by hand to prevent cross-threading. Ensure the filter grommet is correctly aligned and seals.
  6. Add approximately 700ml of 10W-40 4T motorcycle oil.
  7. Insert the check gauge, then remove it to verify the oil level is within the cross-hatches.
  8. Retighten the check gauge.

4.2 Fueling

Fill the fuel tank with mid-grade or premium gasoline. Ensure the fuel line from the tank to the carburetor is primed. You can gently squeeze the fuel line to assist flow.

4.3 Throttle Cable Adjustment

Adjust the throttle cable slightly at the handle grip to ensure proper tension and smooth operation.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to start and operate your X-PRO 50cc Moped.

5.1 Starting the Moped

  1. Ensure the key is in the 'ON' position.
  2. Turn the fuel switch to the 'ON' position.
  3. Pull one of the brake handles (left or right).
  4. While holding the brake, press the electric start button. You may need to give a slight amount of throttle simultaneously.
  5. If the moped does not start immediately, release the start button, wait a few seconds, and try again.
  6. Alternatively, use the kick start lever if the electric start is not functioning.

5.2 Riding the Moped

Once the engine is running, allow it to warm up for a short period. Gently apply throttle to accelerate and use the brake levers to slow down or stop. Practice in a safe, open area before riding in traffic.

6.2 Tires

Check tire pressure before each ride. Refer to the tire sidewall for recommended pressure. Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures.

  • Carburetor Issues: A dirty or improperly adjusted carburetor can cause the engine to stall. Professional cleaning or adjustment may be required.
  • Electrical Connections: Ensure all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.

7.3 Speedometer Not Working

  • Cable Connection: Verify that the speedometer cable is securely connected at both the wheel and the instrument cluster.
  • Cable Damage: Inspect the speedometer cable for kinks, breaks, or damage. A damaged cable will need replacement.
