3. Setup
3.1 Assembly Instructions
The griddle requires assembly. Refer to the separate assembly guide included with your product for detailed step-by-step instructions. Ensure all components are present and undamaged before beginning assembly.
3.2 Gas Connection
This griddle operates on liquid propane (LP) gas. Use only a 20 lb (9.1 kg) LP cylinder (not included) with a Type 1 connection. Ensure the cylinder is upright and securely placed on the griddle cart.

- Ensure the griddle control knobs are in the OFF position.
- Connect the regulator hose to the LP cylinder valve. Hand-tighten firmly. Do not use tools.
- Perform a leak test: Mix a solution of equal parts liquid dish soap and water. With the LP cylinder valve open, apply the solution to all gas connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Close the LP cylinder valve immediately and tighten connections. Repeat the test. If leaks persist, do not use the griddle and contact customer service.
3.3 Initial Griddle Seasoning
The griddle top is pre-seasoned, but additional seasoning is recommended before first use and periodically thereafter to maintain a non-stick surface and prevent rust.
- Clean the griddle surface with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Dry completely.
- Apply a thin, even layer of high-smoke point cooking oil (e.g., flaxseed, grapeseed, or vegetable oil) to the entire griddle surface.
- Heat the griddle on low to medium heat for 15-20 minutes until the oil begins to smoke.
- Turn off the griddle and let it cool. Wipe off any excess oil.
- Repeat this process 2-3 times for optimal seasoning.
