2. What's in the Box

Your HEXBUG BattleBots Arena package includes the following components:

  • 1 HEXBUG BattleBots Arena (fold-out game board, protective walls, 2 push-activated pulverizing hammers)
  • 1 Bite Force Remote Control Robot

3. Important Safety Information

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD - Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

  • Recommended for ages 8 and up.

  • Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

4. Setup Guide

4.1 Arena Assembly

  1. Unfold the game board and lay it flat on a stable surface.
  2. Assemble the protective walls by interlocking the pieces around the perimeter of the game board. Ensure all connections are secure.
  3. Attach the two push-activated pulverizing hammers to their designated slots on the arena walls.

4.2 Robot Preparation

Attach the magnetic armor pieces to your Bite Force and Blacksmith robots. These pieces are designed to simulate battle damage by flying off upon impact, adding to the realistic combat experience.

4.3 Battery Installation

The HEXBUG BattleBots Arena set includes all necessary batteries. Follow these steps to install them:

  1. For Robots (Bite Force & Blacksmith): Locate the battery compartment on the underside of each robot. Use a small screwdriver to open the compartment. Insert 3 AAA/R03 1.5V batteries into each robot, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  2. For Remote Controllers: Locate the battery compartment on the back of each controller. Open the compartment and insert 2 AAA/R03 1.5V batteries into each controller, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On and Pairing

  1. Turn on each robot using the power switch located on its underside.
  2. Turn on each remote controller. The controllers are pre-paired with their respective robots. If pairing issues occur, ensure both the robot and controller are off, then turn the robot on, followed by the controller.

5.2 Basic Controls

Each remote controller features joysticks and buttons for controlling your BattleBot:

  • Left Joystick: Controls forward and backward movement.
  • Right Joystick: Controls turning left and right.
  • Attack Buttons: Activate the robot's unique weapon.

5.3 Engaging in Battle

  1. Place both Bite Force and Blacksmith robots inside the arena.
  2. Use your remote controller to maneuver your robot, aiming to strike your opponent.
  3. Activate your robot's weapon to inflict damage. Bite Force features a powerful vertical spinner, while Blacksmith utilizes a devastating hammer.
  4. The magnetic armor pieces will detach upon significant impact, simulating battle damage. Reattach them to continue the fight.
  5. Utilize the arena's pulverizing hammers by pushing the activation buttons on the walls to add an extra layer of challenge and strategy.
  6. The last robot with its armor intact or still operational wins the round.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning
