4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Arkrocket Huygens Record Player for the first time.

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all protective materials are removed from the turntable and tonearm.
2. Platter Installation: Place the platter onto the spindle.
3. Belt Installation: Locate the drive belt under the platter. Carefully stretch the belt around the motor pulley. Rotate the platter a few times to ensure the belt is properly seated and rotates smoothly.
4. Felt Mat Placement: Place the anti-slip felt mat on top of the platter.
5. Counterweight Adjustment: Rotate the counterweight onto the rear of the tonearm. Adjust it according to the instructions to achieve the recommended tracking force for the stylus.
6. Stylus Protection Removal: Gently remove the clear plastic stylus protector from the cartridge.
7. Dust Cover Attachment: Align and insert the dust cover buckles into the hinges at the rear of the turntable.
8. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 12V port on the rear of the turntable and then to a power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off: Use the power switch on the control panel to turn the unit on or off.
2. Speed Selection: Select the appropriate speed (33 RPM or 45 RPM) using the speed selector knob on the control panel, matching your vinyl record. For 45 RPM records, use the included adapter.
3. Tonearm Operation:
   • Unlock the tonearm from its rest.
   • Use the cueing lever to gently lift the tonearm.
   • Position the tonearm over the desired track on the record.
   • Lower the cueing lever to gently place the stylus onto the record.
4. Volume Control: Adjust the playback volume using the dedicated volume knob.
5. Auto-Stop Function: The turntable features an auto-stop function that automatically stops the platter rotation when the stylus reaches the end of the record.

6. Connectivity

• Bluetooth 5.0: The turntable supports bidirectional Bluetooth. You can stream music from a Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) to the turntable's built-in speakers, or transmit audio from your vinyl records to external Bluetooth speakers.
• RCA Output: Use the RCA L/R output jacks on the rear panel to connect the turntable to an external amplifier or powered speakers for enhanced audio.
• Phono/Line Out Switch: Select between PHONO and LINE OUT modes based on your external audio system's requirements. Use PHONO if your amplifier has a dedicated phono input; otherwise, use LINE OUT.
• Aux-in: Connect external audio devices via the Aux-in port for playback through the turntable's built-in speakers.

7. Maintenance

• Dust Cover: Always keep the dust cover closed when the turntable is not in use to protect it from dust and debris.
• Stylus Care: Gently clean the stylus regularly using a soft brush designed for stylus cleaning. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers.
• General Cleaning: Wipe the turntable's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the turntable and a working power outlet.
• No Sound: Check the volume level on the turntable and any connected external speakers/amplifier. Verify the correct input mode (Phono/Line Out) is selected if using external speakers. If using Bluetooth, ensure it's properly paired.
• Skipping: Ensure the record is clean and free of dust or debris. Check that the turntable is on a stable, level surface. Verify the tonearm's counterweight is correctly adjusted.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure the turntable is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Disable and re-enable Bluetooth on your device, then try pairing again. Keep devices within range.
