1. Setup
1.1 Package Contents
- 1 x ciciglow Digital Alarm Clock
- 1 x USB Power Cable (1.5m/4.9ft)
- 1 x User Manual
1.2 Powering the Device
The alarm clock can be powered in two ways:
- USB Power Supply (Recommended for continuous display):
Connect the provided USB power cable to the clock and a DC 5V USB power adapter (not included). When powered via USB, the display will remain continuously on. This mode also activates the time memory function, preventing loss of settings during power interruptions.
- Battery Power Supply (Power-saving mode):
Insert 3 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment. In battery mode, the clock automatically enters power-saving mode after 20 seconds. The display will turn off automatically after 15 seconds of no operation to conserve battery life. To activate the display, tap the clock or make a sound above 60 decibels.

2.6 Voice Control Induction (Battery Mode Only)
When operating on battery power, the display can be activated by sound. If the ambient sound exceeds 60 decibels or the clock is tapped, the display will light up. This feature is designed to conserve battery life.

3. Maintenance
3.1 Cleaning
To clean the clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the display or casing.
3.2 Battery Replacement
If using battery power, replace all 3 AAA batteries when the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
4. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display is off or dim (battery mode) | Power-saving mode active; low batteries. | Tap the clock or make a sound to activate the display. Replace batteries if dimness persists. Consider using USB power for continuous display. |
| Clock not turning on | No power source; incorrect battery insertion. | Ensure USB cable is securely connected to a working power source, or check that batteries are inserted correctly with proper polarity. |
| Alarm not sounding | Alarm not set or deactivated; volume too low (if adjustable). | Verify alarm settings and ensure the alarm icon is displayed. (Note: This model is described as silent, so check for visual cues if no sound is expected). |
| Time/settings reset after power loss | Not using USB power; batteries removed or dead. | The time memory function works when USB powered. If using batteries, ensure they are fresh to maintain settings during brief power interruptions. |
