Setup and Installation
ClickTight Installation Technology
The Britax Poplar features ClickTight technology for a secure and straightforward installation using your vehicle's seat belt. This system provides fully open seat belt paths that are clearly labeled and easy to access. The automatic tensioner ensures a tight fit without guesswork.
- Open the ClickTight panel by pressing the release button and lifting the seat portion.
- Thread the vehicle's seat belt through the clearly marked belt path (blue for rear-facing, green for forward-facing).
- Buckle the seat belt.
- Close the ClickTight panel firmly until it clicks. The automatic tensioner will tighten the seat belt for a secure installation.

Recline Positions
The car seat offers 14 recline positions to ensure optimal comfort and proper angle for your child, whether rear-facing or forward-facing. Use the recline indicator on the side of the seat to confirm the correct angle for your child's weight and the car seat's orientation.

SpaceSaver Design (17-inch Slim Fit)
The slim 17-inch design of the Britax Poplar allows for easier fitment in various vehicles, including the possibility of fitting three-across in certain vehicles. This design does not compromise on safety or comfort.

Rebound Reduce Stability Bar (Poplar S Feature)
For enhanced safety in rear-facing mode, the Poplar S variant includes a Rebound Reduce Stability Bar. This bar helps to prevent excessive rotation of the car seat in the event of a crash. It is removable and only used in the rear-facing position.

Operating Instructions
Adjusting Harness and Headrest
The 14-position harness and headrest adjust together easily with one hand to create the perfect fit for your growing child. Simply squeeze the adjustment handle at the top of the headrest and slide it up or down to the desired position. Ensure the harness straps are at or just below your child's shoulders when rear-facing, and at or just above their shoulders when forward-facing.

Buckling and Unbuckling Your Child
Place your child in the car seat with their back flat against the seat back. Bring the harness straps over their shoulders and between their legs. Insert both buckle tongues into the buckle until they click. Pull the harness adjuster strap to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. To unbuckle, press the red button on the buckle. To loosen the harness, lift the harness release lever located at the front of the seat and pull the shoulder straps forward.
Cup Holders
The car seat includes two removable cup holders. These can be easily attached or removed as needed and are dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Cover
The car seat cover is designed for simple cleaning. It is washer and dryer friendly. Use cold water on a delicate cycle with mild soap. Do not use bleach. The fabric is naturally flame-retardant with no added FR chemicals.

General Care
Regularly inspect the car seat for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all straps, buckles, and adjusters are functioning correctly. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents on any part of the car seat.
Troubleshooting
- Car Seat Feels Loose After Installation: Ensure the ClickTight panel is fully closed and clicked into place. Re-open, re-thread the seat belt, and close firmly. Apply downward pressure on the car seat while closing the ClickTight panel to help achieve a tighter fit.
- Harness is Difficult to Tighten: Check that the harness straps are not twisted or caught under the seat padding. Ensure the chest clip is at armpit level before tightening. Pull the harness adjuster strap straight out, not upwards or downwards.
- Headrest/Harness Adjustment is Stiff: Ensure the adjustment handle at the top of the headrest is fully squeezed. Check for any obstructions behind the headrest that might prevent smooth movement.
- Child Appears Uncomfortable: Verify that the harness is properly adjusted for height and snugness. Check the recline angle using the indicator to ensure it's appropriate for your child's age and the car seat's orientation. Remove infant inserts as your child grows to provide more space.
