1. Introduction

Welcome to the BRUVI Single-Serve Coffee System. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new coffee brewer. The BRUVI system is designed to deliver a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso, Americanos, cold brew, iced coffee, and tea, using exclusive BRUVI B-Pods.

2. Important Safety Information

• Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, level surface away from hot surfaces or open flames.
• Use only with the specified voltage (120 Volts).
• Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Exercise caution when handling B-Pods, as they may contain sharp elements.
• Keep children and pets away from the appliance during operation.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

5. Setup

5.1 Unboxing and Placement

1. Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Place the BRUVI brewer on a clean, dry, and level surface.
3. Ensure there is adequate space around the brewer for ventilation and access to the water tank.

5.2 Filling the Water Tank

1. Remove the water tank from the side of the brewer.
2. Fill the tank with room temperature, filtered water up to the "Max" line.
3. Replace the water tank securely onto the brewer.

5.3 Initial Cleansing Cycle

Before first use, perform a cleansing cycle to prepare the brewer.

1. Place a large mug on the drip tray.
2. Ensure the water tank is filled.
3. Close the brew chamber lid (do not insert a B-Pod).
4. On the touchscreen, select the "Hot Water" option.
5. Press the "Start/Stop" button. The brewer will dispense hot water to clean its internal components.
6. Discard the hot water. Your BRUVI brewer is now ready for use.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Brewing a Beverage

1. Fill Water Tank: Ensure the water tank is filled with filtered water.
2. Place Mug: Position your desired mug on the adjustable drip tray. Adjust the tray height if necessary.
3. Insert B-Pod: Lift the handle to open the brew chamber. Insert a BRUVI B-Pod into the chamber. Close the handle firmly.

4. Select Beverage Type: The brewer will automatically detect the B-Pod type. On the touchscreen, select your desired beverage (e.g., Coffee, Espresso, Tea, Infused).

5. Customize Brew: Choose additional options such as "Hotter," "Stronger," "Low Acid," "Americano," "Iced," or "Cold Brew" if available for your selected B-Pod.
6. Select Brew Size: Choose your preferred cup size (e.g., 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, 12oz).
7. Start Brewing: Press the "Start/Stop" button to begin brewing. The progress will be displayed on the screen.
8. Enjoy: Once brewing is complete, carefully remove your mug and enjoy your beverage.

6.2 Adjustable Drip Tray

The drip tray can be adjusted or removed to accommodate various cup sizes. Simply lift or slide the tray to the desired position. For taller travel mugs, the entire drip tray assembly can be removed.

7. Mobile App (Optional)

Enhance your BRUVI experience by connecting your brewer to the optional mobile app. The app provides additional convenience and control.

• Remote Brewing: Start a brew from your smartphone.
• Schedule Brews: Set a specific time for your coffee to be ready.
• Auto Re-order B-Pods: Manage and re-order your favorite B-Pods directly through the app.

8. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your BRUVI brewer.

8.1 Drip Tray and Waste Bin

• Drip Tray: The drip tray should be emptied and cleaned regularly to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene. Remove the tray, discard any liquid, and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry before replacing.
• Auto Dispense Waste Bin: The internal waste bin automatically collects used B-Pods. Empty the bin when it is full (holds up to 6 pods). Remove the bin, discard used pods, and clean as needed.

8.2 Water Tank

Clean the water tank periodically with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue before refilling with fresh, filtered water.

8.3 Descaling

Depending on water hardness, descaling may be required to remove mineral buildup. Refer to the BRUVI website or customer support for detailed descaling instructions and recommended descaling solutions.
