OLEVS GW-9910 Men's Automatic Mechanical Watch User Manual

Model: GW-9910 | Brand: OLEVS

Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your OLEVS GW-9910 Automatic Mechanical Watch. Please read this guide carefully to ensure proper use and longevity of your timepiece.

Setup and Initial Winding

Your OLEVS GW-9910 watch is an automatic mechanical timepiece, meaning it does not require a battery. It is powered by the natural motion of your wrist or by manual winding.

Initial Winding

  • Automatic Winding: For the watch to maintain accurate time, it should be worn for approximately 8 hours a day. The movement of your wrist will automatically wind the mainspring.
  • Manual Winding: If the watch has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period, you can manually wind it. To do this, ensure the crown is in its fully pushed-in position (position 0). Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times until you feel slight resistance. Do not overwind.

Strap Adjustment

The stainless steel strap can be adjusted to fit your wrist size. A strap adjustment tool is typically included with your watch. Refer to the image below for an illustration of the watch and the adjustment tool.

To adjust the strap, use the provided tool to carefully push out the pins from the links you wish to remove or add. It is recommended to seek professional assistance if you are unsure about performing this adjustment yourself.

Operating Instructions

Your OLEVS GW-9910 watch features a multifunctional dial with time, date, day, and month displays, along with a skeleton tourbillon design.

Setting the Time

  1. Pull the crown out to Position 1 (the outermost position).
  2. Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands to the correct time.
  3. Once set, push the crown back into Position 0 (fully pushed-in).

Setting the Date, Day, and Month

  • Date Adjustment: Use the dedicated calendar adjustment button on the side of the watch (refer to Image 2). Press this button to advance the date.
  • Month Adjustment: Use the dedicated month adjustment button on the side of the watch (refer to Image 2). Press this button to advance the month.
  • Week (Day of Week) Adjustment: Use the function button on the left side of the watch (refer to Image 2). Press this button to advance the day of the week.

Important Note on Date Display: The date window may display numbers up to 39. This is a characteristic of the mechanical movement and not a defect. At the beginning of each month, you must manually adjust the date to the 1st.

Luminous Function

The watch hands and markers are equipped with luminous material, allowing you to read the time clearly in low-light conditions after exposure to light.

Maintenance and Care

Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your OLEVS GW-9910 watch.

  • Water Resistance: The watch has a water resistance rating of 30 meters (3ATM). This makes it suitable for daily use, such as hand washing and light rain exposure. It is not suitable for swimming, diving, showering, or any underwater activities. Avoid operating the crown or buttons when the watch is wet.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. For the stainless steel strap, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
  • Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect your watch from extreme temperatures (hot or cold), strong magnetic fields, and direct impact or shocks.
  • Storage: When not wearing the watch for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original box or a watch case.

Troubleshooting

  • Watch Not Running or Losing Time:

Ensure the watch is sufficiently wound. Wear it for at least 8 hours a day, or manually wind it by rotating the crown clockwise 30-40 times when fully pushed in.

  • Date Display Shows "39":

This is a normal characteristic of the movement. Manually adjust the date to the 1st at the beginning of each month using the date adjustment button.

  • Condensation Inside the Crystal:

This may indicate a breach in water resistance. Avoid further exposure to moisture and seek professional service immediately.
