2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

  • Never fill the basket with oil.

3. Product Components

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the air fryer. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the frying basket and crisper plate with hot water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe the inside and outside of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  3. Placement: Place the air fryer on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of free space around the back and sides of the appliance to allow for proper air circulation. Do not place it directly under cabinets.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

The BERGNER Naturally Air Fryer features an intuitive LED touch control panel for easy operation.

5.1 Basic Operation

  1. Power On: Plug the air fryer into a power outlet. The display will light up briefly. Press the power icon () to turn the appliance on.
  2. Preheating (Optional but Recommended): For best results, preheat the air fryer. Set the desired temperature (e.g., 180°C) using the temperature adjustment buttons (+ / -) and set a time (e.g., 3-5 minutes). Press the start button (often combined with power or a separate play/pause icon) to begin preheating.
  3. Prepare Food: Place your ingredients in the air fryer basket. Do not overfill the basket to ensure even cooking. For optimal air circulation, food should be in a single layer where possible.
  4. Insert Basket: Slide the frying basket back into the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
  5. Set Temperature and Time:
    • Use the temperature adjustment buttons (+ / -) to set the desired cooking temperature between 80°C and 200°C.
    • Use the time adjustment buttons (+ / -) to set the cooking time.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the start button (often the power icon or a dedicated start/pause icon) to begin the cooking process. The fan and heating element will activate.
  7. Shake/Flip Food (Mid-Cycle): For some recipes, especially fries or smaller items, it is recommended to shake or flip the food halfway through the cooking time. Carefully pull out the basket, shake or flip the contents, and then reinsert the basket. The air fryer will resume cooking automatically.
  8. Cooking Completion: The air fryer will beep when the set cooking time has elapsed. Carefully pull out the basket and check if the food is cooked to your preference.
  9. Serve: Remove the food from the basket using non-abrasive utensils. Be cautious as the basket and food will be hot.
  10. Power Off: Press the power icon to turn off the appliance, or it will automatically turn off after a short period of inactivity once cooking is complete. Unplug the air fryer from the wall outlet.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your air fryer and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the air fryer from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Clean Basket and Crisper Plate:
    • Remove the frying basket and crisper plate.
    • Wash them in hot water with dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge. The non-stick coating makes cleaning easy.
    • For stubborn residue, soak the basket and plate in hot water for about 10 minutes before cleaning.
    • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
  3. Clean Interior: Wipe the interior of the air fryer with a damp cloth. For stubborn grease, use a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.
  4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the air fryer with a soft, damp cloth.
  5. Storage: Ensure the air fryer is clean and dry before storing. Store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your air fryer, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
