3. Setup
3.1 Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in the package:

3.2 Initial Power On and Configuration
- Charge the Device: Connect the Type-C charging cable to the S800 and a suitable power adapter. Allow the device to charge fully before first use.
- Power On: Press and hold the power button until the KINGBOLEN logo appears on the screen.
- Language Selection: Follow the on-screen prompts to select your preferred language from the 20 available options.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect the device to a stable Wi-Fi network to enable software updates and online features. Navigate to "Settings" > "Wi-Fi" and select your network.
- Software Update: After connecting to Wi-Fi, it is recommended to perform a software update. Go to the "Update" icon on the main menu and follow the instructions to download and install the latest software.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting to a Vehicle
- Locate the vehicle's OBD2 port, typically under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is in the "ON" position (engine off or running, depending on the diagnostic task).
- Connect the OBD2 diagnostic cable to the vehicle's OBD2 port and then to the KINGBOLEN S800 device.
- The device will automatically establish communication with the vehicle.
4.2 Diagnostic Functions
From the main menu, select "Diagnosis" to access vehicle-specific diagnostic functions.
- AutoVIN Scan: Select this option for automatic vehicle identification. This streamlines the diagnostic process by quickly retrieving vehicle information.
- Manual Selection: If AutoVIN fails or you prefer manual selection, choose the vehicle make, model, and year from the list.
- System Scan: Once the vehicle is identified, select "System Scan" to perform a comprehensive scan of all supported systems (Engine, ABS, SRS, Transmission).
- Read Codes: Displays current, pending, and historic Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Clear Codes: Erases DTCs from the vehicle's computer. Ensure all necessary repairs are completed before clearing codes.
- Live Data Stream: View real-time data parameters from various sensors and components. This can be displayed in text, graph, or gauge format. The S800 supports 4-in-1 live data streaming for comparative analysis.
- Freeze Frame Data: Captures a snapshot of vehicle operating conditions at the time a fault code was set.
- I/M Readiness: Checks the status of emission-related monitors to determine if the vehicle is ready for an emissions test.

4.3 Special Service Functions
From the main menu, select "Maintenance" to access the 15 special service functions. Each function requires specific steps and conditions to be met. Refer to the on-screen instructions for each service.
- Oil Reset: Resets the oil life reminder after an oil change.
- Brake Reset: Resets the electronic parking brake (EPB) system after brake pad replacement.
- SAS Reset: Calibrates the Steering Angle Sensor.
- TPMS Reset: Resets the Tire Pressure Monitoring System.
- DPF Regeneration: Initiates the Diesel Particulate Filter regeneration process.
- Injector Coding: Codes new injector values into the ECU.

4.4 Report Generation and Sharing

5. Maintenance
5.1 Software Updates
Regularly update the device software to ensure optimal performance, access to new features, and compatibility with the latest vehicle models. Connect to Wi-Fi and navigate to the "Update" section on the main menu.
5.2 Cleaning and Storage
- Clean the device with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store the device in a dry, cool environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Keep the OBD2 cable free from kinks or damage.
5.3 Battery Care
The device is equipped with a 1500mAh internal battery. To prolong battery life:

6. Troubleshooting

- Ensure the vehicle's ignition is in the "ON" position.
- Check if the vehicle's battery is sufficiently charged.
- Try the device on a different vehicle to rule out a vehicle-specific issue.
- Software update failure:
- Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection.
- Check for sufficient storage space on the device.
- Restart the device and attempt the update again.
- Screen unresponsive: Perform a hard reset by holding the power button for approximately 10-15 seconds until the device restarts.
