Setup and Installation

The THOR Kitchen TRG3601 gas range is designed for freestanding installation. Proper installation is crucial for safety and optimal performance. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

Gas Connection

This appliance is factory-set for natural gas. An LP (Liquid Propane) conversion kit is included for conversion to propane gas, if required. The conversion process should only be performed by a qualified technician. Refer to the detailed instructions provided in the LP Conversion Kit for specific steps.

Leveling the Range

The range is equipped with adjustable legs to ensure it is perfectly level. Adjust the legs as needed to achieve a stable and level cooking surface.

Electrical Connection

Operating Instructions

Cooktop Operation

The cooktop features six sealed burners with varying BTU outputs. To ignite a burner:

  1. Ensure all grates are properly seated.
  2. Push in the desired burner control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the "HI" position.
  3. The igniter will click, and the burner will light. Once lit, adjust the knob to the desired flame size (HI, MED, LO, or SIMMER).
  4. If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the knob to "OFF" and wait for one minute before trying again.

The continuous cast iron grates allow for easy movement of pots and pans across the cooking surface.

Oven Operation

The oven offers various cooking modes, including Bake, Roast, Broil, Air Fry, and True Convection. The tilt panel provides intuitive touch controls for setting temperature, time, and cooking functions.

  1. Power On: Press the power button on the tilt panel to activate the display.
  2. Select Mode: Choose your desired cooking mode (e.g., BAKE, AIR FRY, ROAST) from the touch panel.
  3. Set Temperature: Use the +/- buttons on the touch panel to set the desired temperature.
  4. Start Cooking: Press the START button. The oven will begin preheating.
  5. Convection Fan: The True Convection fan can be activated for more even cooking. Refer to the control panel for the specific convection fan button.
  6. Oven Light: The oven interior light can be turned on or off using the dedicated light button on the control panel.

The oven features multiple rack positions to accommodate different cooking needs. The large oven capacity of 6.0 cubic feet is suitable for various dishes, from small casseroles to large roasts.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Self-Cleaning Cycle

The oven is equipped with a self-cleaning function to simplify maintenance. Follow these steps for a self-clean cycle:

  1. Remove all oven racks and accessories before starting the self-clean cycle.
  2. Wipe up any loose soil or spills.
  3. Select the "CLEAN MODE" option on the tilt panel.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to start the cycle. The oven door will lock automatically.
  5. Once the cycle is complete and the oven has cooled, wipe away any ash residue with a damp cloth.

Cooktop Cleaning

Exterior Cleaning

For the stainless steel exterior, use a soft cloth and a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner. Always wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent streaking.
