1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your HEXBUG BATTLEBOTS Arena featuring Bite Force and Blacksmith. This product is designed to replicate the excitement of BattleBots combat, allowing users to control two iconic robots within a scaled arena.

2. What's in the Box

Verify that all components listed below are present in your package:

3. Setup

3.1 Arena Assembly

  1. Unpack all components from the box.
  2. Interlock the plastic floor tiles to form the base of the arena. Ensure they are securely connected.
  3. Attach the transparent wall panels around the perimeter of the floor tiles. These panels slide into designated slots.
  4. Position the interactive hammers in their designated corners of the arena. These are typically placed at the red and blue zones.

3.2 Battery Installation

Each BattleBot and remote control requires batteries for operation. A total of 10 AAA batteries are needed (not included).

  • For BattleBots (Bite Force and Blacksmith): Locate the battery compartment on the underside of each robot. Use a small Phillips head screwdriver to open the compartment. Insert the required AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment and secure with the screw.
  • For Remote Controls: Locate the battery compartment on the back of each remote control. Open the compartment and insert the required AAA batteries, observing correct polarity. Close the compartment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Pairing Remote Controls

Each robot must be paired with its corresponding remote control before use. Ensure both the robot and remote have fresh batteries installed.

  1. Turn on the BattleBot by sliding the power switch to the 'ON' position.
  2. Turn on the remote control.
  3. The robot and remote should automatically pair. If not, refer to the troubleshooting section.

4.2 Basic Movement and Combat

Use the joysticks or directional buttons on the remote control to maneuver your BattleBot within the arena. Each robot has unique offensive and defensive capabilities:

  • Bite Force: Features a powerful vertical spinning weapon and front wedge design. Use its speed and wedge to get under opponents and activate the spinner for maximum damage.
  • Blacksmith: Equipped with a devastating hammer weapon. Maneuver Blacksmith to strike opponents with its hammer, aiming to disable or dislodge their armor.

4.3 Interactive Arena Features

The arena includes interactive hammers. Drive your BattleBot into the activation zones to trigger these hammers, which can impact your opponent's robot.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

Due to the nature of remote-controlled combat, batteries may deplete quickly. Replace batteries in both robots and remote controls when performance diminishes. Always use fresh AAA batteries and ensure correct polarity.

5.2 Cleaning

Wipe down the arena and robots with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge any electronic components in water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

5.3 Storage

When not in use for extended periods, remove all batteries from the robots and remote controls to prevent leakage. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
