4. Operating Range
The system provides a line-of-sight range of 160-200 feet. For optimal performance, ensure the receiver's antenna is upward and avoid obstructions like metal or glass between the microphones and the receiver.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphones and receiver. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace AA batteries in the microphones when the battery indicator shows low power.
- Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound:
- Ensure both microphones and receiver are powered on.
- Check battery levels for both microphones and receiver.
- Verify the receiver is firmly connected to the audio input of your sound system.
- Confirm the audio device's volume is turned up and not muted.
- Interference/Signal Drops:
- Change the microphone frequency using the frequency selection button.
- Ensure the receiver antenna is positioned vertically and unobstructed.
- Reduce the distance between the microphones and the receiver.
- Avoid placing the receiver near metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Poor Sound Quality:
- Ensure microphones are not muted.
- Check for proper microphone technique (e.g., speaking directly into the microphone).
- Verify the audio device's input levels are correctly set.
Important Usage Notes:
- Do not hold the microphone by the antenna area as this can block the signal.
- Avoid placing the receiver behind metal or glass objects, which can obstruct the wireless signal.
- This system uses UHF wireless technology and is not compatible with Bluetooth devices.
