4.3 Power Connection

Connect the car charger to the dash camera's power input. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The camera will typically power on automatically when the vehicle starts.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Manual Switch On: Short press the power button once. The screen will light up.
  • Manual Switch Off: Press the power button again to switch off the device.

5.2 Recording Features

  • Loop Recording: The dash camera supports continuous loop recording. When the memory card is full, the oldest recorded video files will be automatically overwritten by new recordings. This ensures you always have the most recent footage.
  • G-Sensor (Motion Detection): The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions. In such events, the current video footage will be locked and protected from being overwritten, serving as crucial evidence.
  • Parking Monitor: This feature allows the dash camera to monitor your vehicle even when parked. If an impact is detected, the camera will automatically start recording.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Lens: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the lens.
  • Memory Card Management: Periodically format your memory card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage before formatting.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates. Keeping your dash camera's firmware up-to-date can improve performance and add new features.
  • Temperature Considerations: Avoid exposing the dash camera to extreme temperatures for extended periods, as this can affect battery life and device functionality.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not powering on: Ensure the car charger is securely connected to both the dash camera and the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the vehicle's 12V power outlet is functioning.
  • Recording issues (e.g., not recording, corrupted files): Verify that a compatible memory card is inserted correctly and has sufficient free space. Try formatting the memory card. If issues persist, try a different memory card.
  • Poor video quality: Clean the camera lens. Ensure the dash camera is securely mounted and not vibrating. Check video resolution settings.
  • App connection problems: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on both your smartphone and the dash camera. Follow the app's connection guide carefully.
