2. Safety Information

4. Setup & Assembly

- Prepare the Base: Lay the Bottom Panel (A) flat on a clean, stable surface.
- Attach Side Panels: Take the two Side Panels (D) and align their tabs with the corresponding slots on the Bottom Panel (A). Push firmly until they click into place.
- Connect Front and Back Panels: Attach the Front Panel (B) and Back Panel (C) to the assembled side and bottom panels. Ensure all tabs align and click securely. You may need to apply gentle pressure or use your body weight to fully engage the connections.
- Install Steel Reinforcement Bars: Locate the three Steel Reinforcement Bars (G). These bars snap into designated slots on the interior of the side panels to enhance structural rigidity.
- Attach the Lid: Position the Lid (E) onto the top of the assembled box. Align the hinges on the lid with the corresponding hinge points on the back panel.
- Secure Hydraulic Gas Rods: Attach the Hydraulic Gas Rods (F) to the designated points on the lid and the side panels using the provided Screws & Fasteners (H) and a Phillips head screwdriver. Ensure they are securely fastened for proper soft-close operation.

Opening and Closing the Lid:
- To open, gently lift the lid. The hydraulic gas rods will assist in lifting and holding the lid open securely.
- To close, gently pull the lid downwards. The hydraulic gas rods will ensure a slow, controlled closure, preventing sudden drops or pinching.
Using the Lockable Feature:
The deck box features a built-in handle with a keyhole for added security. To lock your items, simply insert a padlock (not included) through the designated hole on the handle when the lid is closed.
Utilizing as a Bench:
When the lid is fully closed and latched, the deck box can serve as an additional bench seat. It is designed to support the weight of up to two adults (maximum 500 lbs on top surface). Ensure the lid is completely closed before sitting on it.
