Setup
1. Preparing for Installation
- Ensure your computer is completely powered off and disconnected from the wall outlet.
- Open your computer case to access the PSU mounting area.
- If replacing an old PSU, carefully disconnect all cables from the old unit and remove it from the case.
2. Installing the Power Supply Unit
- Position the Pure Power 12 M 1000W PSU into the designated PSU bay in your computer case. Ensure the fan faces the correct direction (typically downwards for bottom-mounted PSUs, or as per case design for optimal airflow).
- Secure the PSU to the case using the provided mounting screws.

3. Connecting Modular Cables
The Pure Power 12 M is fully modular, allowing you to connect only the cables you need, improving cable management and airflow.
- Connect the 24-pin ATX motherboard cable to the PSU and your motherboard.
- Connect the 8-pin (4+4) CPU power cable(s) to the PSU and your motherboard's CPU power connector(s).
- For graphics cards, use the appropriate PCIe 6+2 pin connectors or the dedicated 12VHPWR cable for compatible PCIe 5.0 GPUs. Connect these to the PSU and your graphics card(s).
- Connect SATA power cables for SSDs/HDDs and Molex cables for other peripherals as needed.
- Ensure all connections are firm and secure.

Maintenance
- Dust Cleaning: Periodically clean dust from the PSU fan and vents using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
- Cable Inspection: Occasionally inspect all connected cables for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the PSU within recommended temperature and humidity ranges to ensure longevity. Avoid extreme temperatures or high humidity.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System does not power on. | PSU switch is off, power cord loose, internal cables loose, faulty component. | Ensure PSU switch is ON (I). Check AC power cord connection. Re-seat all modular cables. Test components individually if possible. |
| System powers on but no display. | Graphics card not properly seated/powered, monitor connection issue. | Ensure graphics card is fully seated and all PCIe power cables are connected. Check monitor cable. |
| System randomly shuts down or reboots. | Overheating, unstable power, faulty component. | Ensure adequate case airflow. Check PSU fan for obstructions. Verify all power connections are secure. |
| Loud noise from PSU. | Fan obstruction, faulty fan bearing. | Power off and unplug. Carefully check for any foreign objects obstructing the fan. If noise persists, contact support. |
