5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Pure Resonance Audio Stadium Sound System.

  1. Speaker Mounting: Use the provided heavy-duty wall-mounting brackets to securely install the S10 speakers in your desired locations. Ensure the mounting surface can support the speaker's weight and that the speakers are positioned for optimal sound coverage.
  2. Speaker Wiring: Connect the S10 speakers to the RMA350BT amplifier using the supplied 14/2 Gauge UV Rated Direct Burial Speaker Wire. Determine the appropriate tap setting (70V or 8 Ohm) on the S10 speaker's input panel (refer to Figure 4.1.2) based on your system design. Connect the speaker wire to the corresponding output terminals on the amplifier's rear panel (70V or 4-16Ω). Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
  3. Microphone Connection: Connect the PTT1 desktop microphone to one of the XLR inputs on the RMA350BT amplifier's front panel using the Female XLR to Prep Patch Cable.
  4. Additional Inputs (Optional): If using other audio sources (e.g., CD player, media device), connect them to the RCA or Euroblock auxiliary inputs on the amplifier's rear panel.
  5. Power Connection: Once all audio connections are made, connect the RMA350BT amplifier to a suitable AC power outlet.

6. Operating Instructions

This section covers the basic operation of your sound system.

  1. Power On: Turn on the power switch on the front panel of the RMA350BT amplifier.
  2. Volume Control: Adjust the MASTER volume knob on the amplifier to a low level before playing any audio. Gradually increase to the desired listening level. Individual input volume controls are also available.
  3. Microphone Usage: To make an announcement, press and hold the push-to-talk switch on the PTT1 microphone. Release the switch when finished. The switch can also be locked for continuous use. Adjust the MIC input volume on the amplifier as needed.
  4. Bluetooth Streaming: Select the Bluetooth input on the amplifier. On your mobile device, search for and connect to the amplifier's Bluetooth signal. Play audio from your device.
  5. USB/TF Card Playback: Insert a USB drive or TF card into the corresponding slot on the amplifier's front panel. The amplifier will automatically detect and begin playing compatible audio files. Use the media player controls to navigate tracks.
  6. FM Tuner: Select the FM input. Use the media player controls to scan for and select radio stations.

7. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your system.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the amplifier and microphone with a soft, dry cloth. For the S10 speakers, a damp cloth can be used. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the RMA350BT amplifier's cooling fan and vents are clear of obstructions to prevent overheating.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables for signs of wear or damage, especially the outdoor speaker wire. Replace any damaged cables immediately.
  • Environmental Protection: While the S10 speakers are weatherproof, consider additional protection during extreme weather events if possible.
