Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your LEHMANN Hudson High-Pressure Washer. Please read it thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.
Safety Instructions
General Safety
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses and gloves, when operating the pressure washer.
- Do not direct the water jet at people, animals, electrical equipment, or the unit itself.
- Ensure the power supply matches the specifications on the product label.
- Keep children and pets away from the operating area.
- Disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
Electrical Safety
- Do not use the pressure washer if the power cord or plug is damaged.
- Avoid using extension cords unless absolutely necessary and ensure they are rated for outdoor use and the appliance's power requirements.
- Never operate the unit with wet hands or while standing in water.
Water Supply Safety
- Ensure the water supply is clean and free of debris to prevent damage to the pump.
- Do not use hot water above 60°C (140°F).
- The unit is self-priming, allowing it to draw water from a tank or bucket. Ensure the water source is stable and sufficient.

Setup
Assembly
- Unpack all components and ensure nothing is missing or damaged.
- Attach the handle to the main unit if it is not pre-assembled.

Water Connection
The LEHMANN Hudson supports two types of water supply:
- Direct Tap Connection: Connect a standard garden hose to the water inlet of the pressure washer. Ensure the water tap is fully open during operation.
- Self-Priming (Bucket/Tank): For drawing water from a static source like a bucket or tank, ensure the water inlet filter is clean and properly installed. Place the end of the garden hose (connected to the pressure washer) into the water source. The pump will self-prime when the unit is turned on.

Power Connection
Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet provides the correct voltage as specified on the product label.
Operating Instructions
Starting the Unit
- Ensure all connections (water, hose, power) are secure.
- Turn on the water supply.
- Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to release any air from the system until a steady stream of water emerges.
- Turn the power switch to the "ON" position. The motor will start.
- Release the trigger to allow the motor to build pressure.
Using the Nozzles
- Vario Nozzle: Adjust the spray pattern from a concentrated jet to a wide fan by twisting the nozzle. Use the concentrated jet for stubborn dirt and the fan spray for general cleaning.
- Turbo Nozzle: Provides a rotating jet for maximum cleaning power on tough stains and large areas. This nozzle can increase pressure up to 240 bar.

Using the Foam Dispenser
- Fill the 0.8-liter foam dispenser with appropriate pressure washer detergent.
- Attach the foam dispenser to the spray gun.
- Activate the pressure washer. The unit will mix the detergent with water and apply foam evenly.
- After applying detergent, remove the foam dispenser and rinse the surface with clean water using a standard nozzle.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter
Regularly check and clean the water inlet filter to prevent debris from entering the pump.
- Disconnect the water supply and power.
- Unscrew the water inlet connection.
- Remove the filter and rinse it under running water.
- Reinsert the clean filter and reattach the connection.
Storage
After each use, ensure all water is drained from the pump and hoses to prevent freezing damage in cold weather.
- Turn off the unit and water supply.
- Squeeze the spray gun trigger to release residual pressure.
- Disconnect hoses and drain them.
- Store the unit in a dry, frost-free location.
- Utilize the integrated hose reel for neat storage of the high-pressure hose.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No pressure or low pressure | Insufficient water supply, air in the pump, clogged nozzle, clogged water filter. | Check water supply, bleed air from system (squeeze trigger without power), clean nozzle, clean water inlet filter. |
| Motor stops frequently | Overheating, low voltage, extended bypass operation. | Allow unit to cool, check power supply, avoid prolonged bypass (release trigger only when spraying). |
| Water leaks | Loose connections, damaged O-rings/seals. | Tighten connections, replace damaged O-rings/seals. |
| Unit does not start | No power, faulty switch, thermal overload. | Check power connection and outlet, allow unit to cool if overheated. |
