This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Coolmusic S1 Electronic Wind Instrument. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the instrument and retain it for future reference.
2. Product Overview
2.1 Components
The Coolmusic S1 Electronic Wind Instrument is designed for versatile musical expression. Key components are illustrated below:

2.2 Features
- Sensitive Rebound Buttons: Designed for accurate response and extended durability.
- 72 Instrument Timbres: Offers a wide selection of sounds with multiple fingering options, a user timbres library, instant timbre switching, one-touch tone conversion, and online timbre upgrades. External audio sources can also be input.
- LCD Smart Display: Provides real-time information on timbre, tone, volume, fingering, battery level, octave, and other functions.

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items listed in the "What's in the Box" section are present and undamaged.

3.2 Charging the Instrument
Before first use, fully charge the S1 instrument. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the instrument and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or power bank. The LCD display will indicate charging status.
3.3 Attaching the Lanyard
Attach the lanyard to the designated buckle on the instrument for secure handling during play.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
Locate the power switch on the back of the instrument (refer to Figure 2.2). Slide the switch to the "ON" position to power on. Slide to "OFF" to power off.
4.2 Understanding the Display Screen
The LCD smart display provides real-time feedback on the instrument's status and settings.

4.3 Selecting Timbres and Tones
The S1 offers 72 instrument timbres. Use the function keys (refer to Figure 2.2) to navigate through the timbre library. The display will show the selected timbre. You can also create and save user-defined timbres.
4.4 Adjusting Volume and Octave
- Volume: Adjust the instrument's output volume using the dedicated volume controls (indicated on the display).
- Octave: Use the octave keys (refer to Figure 2.2) to shift the instrument's pitch up or down by octaves.
4.5 Fingering and Playing
The S1 supports multiple fingering designs, including professional saxophone, basic sax, and bamboo flute fingerings, to accommodate various playing habits.

The sensitive real-time rebound buttons provide a responsive playing experience. Experiment with breath pressure to control dynamics and expression.
4.6 Connecting External Devices
- Headphones: For private practice, connect headphones to the headphone hole (refer to Figure 2.2).
- External Speakers/Amplifiers: Use the sound source output interface to connect to external audio systems for amplified sound.
- MIDI Output: The MIDI output interface allows the S1 to be used as a controller for other MIDI-compatible instruments or software.
- Bluetooth: Pair with a mobile phone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to play along with accompaniment.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Instrument
- After each use, gently wipe the exterior of the instrument with the provided absorbent cloth to remove any moisture or fingerprints.
- The mouthpiece can accumulate saliva. Use the absorbent cloth to clean the mouthpiece area.
- The instrument has an outfall for moisture (refer to Figure 2.2). Ensure this area remains clear. For deeper cleaning of internal moisture, consult a professional instrument technician if necessary, as improper disassembly can cause damage.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on any part of the instrument.
5.2 Storage
Store the S1 in its portable storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust and physical damage. Keep the instrument in a dry environment, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
