Setup Instructions

1. Unpack the System: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
2. Placement: Place the Glimmer Hot Foil System base unit on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant work surface. Ensure adequate ventilation.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
4. Insert Platform: Slide the hot foil platform into the base unit.
5. Preheat: Press the power button. The "Platform Ready" light will illuminate when the platform has reached the optimal foiling temperature (approximately 5-10 minutes).

Operating the Glimmer Hot Foil System

Follow these steps to create beautiful foiled designs:

1. Prepare Your Design: Select a Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. Place the hot foil plate face up on the heated platform.

2. Cut Foil: Cut a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil slightly larger than your hot foil plate design.
3. Place Foil: Place the cut foil, color side up (shiny side up), over the hot foil plate on the platform.

4. Position Paper: Place your chosen cardstock or material over the foil.

5. Activate Timer: Press the timer button on the Glimmer Hot Foil System. The timer light will illuminate. Wait for the timer to complete (it will beep when ready).
6. Run Through Die-Cutting Machine: Once the timer is complete, carefully remove the hot foil platform from the base unit using the magnetic pick-up tool. Place the platform with your materials onto the base plate of your compatible manual die-cutting machine (e.g., Spellbinders Platinum Six). Run the platform through the die-cutting machine according to your machine's instructions for foiling.

7. Reveal Design: Remove the platform from the die-cutting machine. Carefully peel back the foil to reveal your beautifully foiled design. Use the magnetic pick-up tool to remove the hot foil plate and place it on the silicone cooling mat.
