Note: The video demonstrates a general Oasis pool setup, which may vary slightly in shape from your specific oval model.

4.1. Site Preparation
  • Choose a flat, firm, and level surface. Use a spirit level to confirm the ground is perfectly flat.
  • Clear the area of any stones, sharp objects, or debris that could puncture the pool liner.
  • If using a filtration system, position the pool 10-21 feet away from the power outlet for the pump.

4.2. Pool Assembly
  • Lay out the ground cloth (if purchased) in the prepared area.
  • Unfold the pool liner over the ground cloth, ensuring it is as flat as possible. Allow it to warm in the sun for approximately two hours to make it more pliable.
  • Lay out all frame components around the liner.
  • Assemble the horizontal beams by inserting them into the T-fittings. Ensure the pins snap securely into place.
  • Thread the assembled horizontal beams through the top liner sleeves.
  • Insert the foot pads onto the vertical legs.
  • Carefully slide the vertical legs through the liner belt loops and snap them into the T-fittings. Ensure the legs are perpendicular to the ground.
  • Perform a final check to ensure all frame pins are securely snapped and the structure is stable.

4.3. Filling the Pool
  • Fill the pool with approximately one inch of water.
  • Stop the water flow and carefully smooth out any wrinkles on the pool floor by walking around the inside of the pool. Ensure the liner is taut all around.
  • Continue filling the pool to the recommended level, typically 6 inches below the top rim. Do not overfill.
4.4. Filtration System Installation

This pool includes a FiltraBoost 800S Pool Pump with AutoSkimmer. Follow these steps for installation:

  • Locate the inlet and outlet holes on your pool liner.
  • Insert the suction fittings (for skimmer) and return fittings (for water return) through the designated holes from the inside of the pool.
  • From the outside, disassemble the skimmer seal ring and re-thread it onto the skimmer through the wall opening, tightening securely.
  • Disassemble the return fitting assembly from the inside of the pool. Insert the fitting with the fitting gasket from the inside. On the outside, place the thrust washer on the fitting, followed by the fitting nut. Hand-tighten the fitting nut.
  • Install a hose clamp on each end of the provided hose.
  • Attach one end of the hose to the skimmer and the other end to the return fitting. Slide the hose end over the O-ring on the fittings and tighten the hose clamps directly over the O-rings.
  • Plug the pump into a grounded GFCI outlet. If the pump does not turn on immediately, press the 'Reset' button on the GFCI plug. Refer to the pump's user guide for timer settings.

5. Operating Instructions

  • Pump Operation: The FiltraBoost pump should run daily to ensure proper water circulation and filtration. Refer to the pump's user guide for recommended operating times and timer settings.
  • Water Level: Maintain the water level between the minimum and maximum fill lines indicated on the skimmer.
  • Ladder Use: Always use the SureStep ladder for safe entry and exit. Ensure it is securely placed before use.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Water Chemistry
  • Regularly test your pool water using a test kit to ensure pH and chlorine levels are within a healthy range.
  • Adjust chemicals as needed to maintain optimal water balance.
6.2. Cleaning
  • Empty the AutoSkimmer basket daily to remove leaves and large debris.
  • Rinse the Type D filter cartridge with a garden hose every few days, or more frequently depending on usage. Replace the cartridge every 2-4 weeks or when visibly dirty.
  • Brush the pool walls and floor regularly to prevent algae buildup.
  • Vacuum the pool floor as needed to remove settled debris.
6.3. Winterization

While some users may choose to leave the pool assembled during winter, it is generally recommended to drain, disassemble, clean, and store the pool in a dry, protected area to prolong its lifespan. Follow the detailed winterization instructions in your pump's user guide.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Pump Not Running: Check the GFCI plug for a tripped circuit. Press the 'Reset' button. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. Verify the timer settings.
  • Poor Water Circulation: Check if the filter cartridge is clean and not clogged. Ensure hoses are properly connected and free of kinks. Verify water level is adequate.
  • Cloudy Water: Test water chemistry and adjust as necessary. Ensure the pump is running for sufficient periods. Clean or replace the filter cartridge.
  • Leaking: Inspect the liner for punctures and use the provided repair patch if a small hole is found. Check all hose connections and fittings for tightness.
