2. Safety Information

  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the lock. This may cause damage and void the warranty.

5. Installation

Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:

  • Door Thickness: 1-3/4" (45mm) to 1-1/4" (30mm)
  • Backset: 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm)
  • Cross Bore: 2-1/8" (54mm)
  • Edge Bore: 1" (25.4mm)

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door has the correct bore holes and backset. If necessary, use the provided template to drill new holes.
  2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch bolt faces the correct direction for your door swing.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Route the cable through the door and align the exterior keypad/fingerprint unit with the latch.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the exterior assembly using the provided screws.
  5. Connect Cables and Install Interior Assembly: Connect the cable from the exterior unit to the interior unit. Carefully tuck excess cable into the door. Attach the interior assembly, ensuring the thumb turn operates smoothly.
  6. Install the Handle Set: Attach the exterior and interior handle components, securing them with the appropriate screws.
  7. Insert Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior unit and insert 4 new AA batteries.
  8. Test Operation: Test the lock with a physical key, then proceed to programming.

6. Setup and Programming

Follow these steps to program your lock:

6.1. Master Code Setup

The first step is to set a Master Code. This code is used to access programming functions. Refer to the quick start guide for initial master code setup instructions.

6.2. Adding Fingerprints

The lock supports up to 20 unique fingerprints.

  1. Enter the Master Code, then press the 'Program' button (usually a gear icon or specific key).
  2. Select the option to add a fingerprint.
  3. Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor. You will be prompted to lift and place your finger several times for accurate registration.
  4. Repeat for additional fingerprints or exit programming mode.

6.3. Adding User Codes

The lock supports up to 20 user codes (4-10 digits).

  1. Enter the Master Code, then press the 'Program' button.
  2. Select the option to add a user code.
  3. Enter your desired user code, then press the 'Lock' button (or designated confirmation key).
  4. Re-enter the user code to confirm.
  5. Repeat for additional user codes or exit programming mode.

6.4. One-Time PIN Codes

Generate temporary codes for guests or service personnel. These codes expire after a single use.

  1. Enter the Master Code, then press the 'Program' button.
  2. Select the option to generate a one-time code.
  3. The lock will display or generate a temporary code. Provide this code to the intended user.

6.5. Auto-Lock Feature

The auto-lock feature automatically locks the deadbolt after a set period (10-99 seconds) once unlocked.

  2. Select the auto-lock setting.
  3. Enter the desired delay time in seconds (e.g., 30 for 30 seconds).
  4. Confirm the setting or exit programming mode.

6.6. Vacation Mode

Activate vacation mode to disable all user codes and fingerprints, allowing entry only via physical key or Master Code. This is useful for extended periods away from home.

Enable mute mode to silence all keypad tones for quiet operation.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Unlocking the Door

  • Using Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the fingerprint sensor. The lock will unlock within approximately 0.3 seconds.

  • Using Keypad Code: Enter your 4-10 digit user code or one-time PIN code on the keypad, then press the 'Lock' button (or designated confirmation key).
  • Using Physical Key: Insert the physical key into the keyhole and turn to unlock.

7.2. Locking the Door

  • One-Touch Locking: Press and hold any key on the keypad for 2 seconds to lock the deadbolt.
  • Automatic Locking: If the auto-lock feature is enabled, the door will automatically lock after the set delay time.

7.3. Anti-Peeping Code

To prevent others from guessing your code, you can enter random digits before or after your actual code. For example, if your code is 123456, you can enter 987123456012. As long as the correct code sequence is embedded, the lock will open.

8. Maintenance

8.1. Battery Replacement

The lock will provide a low battery alert when power is critically low. Replace all four AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.

  1. Remove the battery cover on the interior assembly.
  2. Remove the old batteries.
  3. Insert four new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Replace the battery cover.
