1. Introduction

3. Setup

1. Unfold the Game Board: Place the game board in the center of the playing area.
2. Separate Cards: Separate the Title Deed cards, Question Mark Block cards, and Piranha Plant cards into their respective decks. Shuffle the Question Mark Block cards and Piranha Plant cards and place them face down on their designated spaces on the board.
3. Distribute Gold Coins: Each player receives a starting amount of gold coins. The exact starting amount is detailed in the game's quick-start guide (not included in this manual, refer to the physical game box for initial coin distribution).
4. Choose Character Tokens: Each player selects one of the 5 character tokens and places it on the 'GO' space.

4. How to Play (Operating)

The goal of Monopoly Super Mario Bros. Film Edition is to collect the most gold coins by acquiring properties and charging rent. The game ends when all properties are owned, or a predetermined time limit is reached, and the player with the most gold coins wins.

1. Starting the Game: Each player rolls both dice. The player with the highest total goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
2. Player's Turn: On your turn, roll both dice and move your character token clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated by the dice.
3. Landing on Spaces: The action you take depends on the space you land on:
   • Unowned Property: You may buy the property for the price indicated on the board. If you choose not to buy it, the Banker immediately auctions it to the highest bidder.
   • Owned Property: If another player owns the property, you must pay them rent as indicated on their Title Deed card. Rent increases if the owner has a complete color set.
   • Question Mark Block Space: Draw a Question Mark Block card and follow its instructions.
   • Piranha Plant Space: Draw a Piranha Plant card and follow its instructions.
   • Warp Tube: If you land on a Warp Tube space, you can immediately move to any space between your current Warp Tube and the next Warp Tube on the board.
   • GO: When you pass or land on 'GO', collect a specified amount of gold coins from the Banker.
   • Just Visiting/Jail: Landing on 'Just Visiting' has no effect. If sent to 'Jail', follow the rules for getting out (e.g., rolling doubles, paying a fine).
   • Free Parking: No action is taken.
4. Doubles: If you roll doubles, take your turn as usual, then roll the dice again for another turn. If you roll doubles three times in a row, you immediately go to Jail.
5. Ending Your Turn: Once you have completed your actions, your turn ends, and play passes to the player on your left.
