5. Installation
The FIREGAS range hood is designed for under-cabinet mounting and offers both ducted and ductless (recirculating) ventilation options. Ensure you have all necessary tools and follow local building codes.
5.1 Venting Options
This range hood is convertible and can be vented outdoors (ducted) or recirculated indoors (ductless). For ductless operation, a charcoal filter (model: FGS-TF39-LW) is required and sold separately.

5.2 Electrical Connection
This range hood is hard-wired and does not include a plug. A plug (model: FGS-TF39-DYX) is sold separately if needed. Ensure power is disconnected before wiring.

- Step 1: Pry open the designated hole for wiring.
- Step 2: Install the black rubber ring and extend the wires from inside the range hood through the hole to the outside.
- Step 3: Connect the wires on the outside of the range hood, matching colors appropriately.
- Step 4: Secure the wire connections with a white wire cap using appropriate tools.
Once complete, the wires will not be exposed to the cooking area, ensuring safety.
5.3 Mounting
The range hood is designed for under cabinet mounting. Refer to the included "Installation Drawing" for precise measurements and drilling locations. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the unit's weight (9 pounds).

Important: Please remove any protective film from the range hood surfaces before installing.
6. Operation
The FIREGAS range hood features simple rocker button controls for fan speed and lighting.
6.1 Fan Control
The range hood is equipped with a 2-speed exhaust fan (Low/High) to efficiently remove grease and smoke. Use the rocker button to select the desired speed.
