4. Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the VilroCaz Twin Over Full Bunk Bed requires careful attention to detail. All necessary tools and clear instructions are provided. It is recommended to have at least two adults for assembly.

General Assembly Steps:

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully unpack all components and hardware. Refer to the parts list in your manual to ensure all pieces are present.
2. Assemble Bed Frames: Begin by assembling the headboards and footboards for both the twin and full beds. Attach the side rails to form the bed frames.
3. Install Slat Supports: Securely attach the mattress slat supports to both bed frames.
4. Assemble Staircase: Construct the storage staircase, ensuring all shelves and drawers are correctly installed. The staircase can be positioned on either the left or right side.
5. Connect Beds and Staircase: Carefully stack the twin bed frame onto the full bed frame and connect them securely. Attach the assembled staircase to the bunk bed structure.
6. Install Guardrails and Ladder: Attach the guardrails to the upper bunk and install the ladder.
7. Final Checks: Verify that all bolts and screws are tightened, and the structure is stable.

Detachable Design:

This bunk bed is designed to be separated into one twin-size bed and one full-size bed. To convert, carefully follow the reverse assembly steps to detach the upper bunk and separate the frames. Ensure all connecting hardware is removed and the individual beds are stable before use.

5. Operating Instructions

Using the Bunk Beds:

• Ensure mattresses are of the recommended thickness (Upper: 4-6", Bottom: 3-4") to maintain proper guardrail height and safety.
• Only one person should occupy the upper bunk at a time.
• Do not attach or hang items on any part of the bunk bed that are not designed for use with the bed, such as ropes or belts, as they can pose a strangulation hazard.

Storage Drawers:

The three drawers located under the bottom bed provide convenient storage. Pull the knobs gently to open and push to close. Avoid overloading the drawers to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage.

Staircase with Shelves:

The integrated staircase provides safe access to the upper bunk. The steps also feature open shelves for additional storage or display of small items. Ensure items on shelves are stable and do not obstruct the path.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the bed frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
• Hardware Check: Periodically inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain structural integrity and safety.

• Bed is Creaking: This often indicates loose hardware. Carefully inspect all bolts and screws, especially at joints, and tighten them securely. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
